[ So, this is it. Keiichi's first day after transferring to Yamaboshi Private High School. After the trouble he got into at his old school, he's looking forward to a fresh start. He's spent far too long only caring about grades, and he's decided that now, he's going to care more about the people around him.

He doesn't realize that this isn't the world he or his family normally belong to, probably because this particular Keiichi Maebara is something of an anomaly. His only concern is getting off to a fresh start at his new school... which makes it too bad that he's running late. ]

[ With his bag draped over one shoulder, he runs through the hallways, not aware that he's about to have a fateful encounter. Or a reunion, that is, though he won't realize it. But time does seem to come to a standstill as he rounds a corner way too fast, collides with a body, and ends up falling straight on his ass. ]

[ This is probably the most awkward punishment Keiichi's ever been forced to go through. And the scary thing is, Mion actually had nothing to do with it. She was out sick today (probably hungover, if Shion was to be believed), and her sister had 'helpfully' taken her place as honorary, self-declared club president for the day.

Long story short, his punishment: 'Put on this maid outfit and go nurse onee back to health.'

He's just really glad that nobody else seems to be around the Sonozaki estate right now when he rings the doorbell. He may as well get this over with. ]

[ The body that he manages to collide into is one by the name of Inaba Himeko, who manages to make a soft sound of oof when she falls as well, rubbing the nape of her neck. It's true that she hurts from behind but it's not too bad as she tries to get up on her feet. ]

Ow... [ Of course this would happen. Ugh, this is a mess. She makes sure her messenger bag is alright, and the laptop before managing to stand up, dusting her skirt. ] Oi, can't you watch who you're running in--

[ Wait, she knows that face. And she swears she heard his voice a little before this whole mess happened. No, it can't be. He's not from this time, this world. ]

[ There's a look of complete shock in her eyes, almost as if she's in disbelief. Is this another one of those dreams that she's experienced? No, it shouldn't be. Everything with CERES, with Cerealia, the Flamines... it's all over. So why is she doubting herself now? Then again, she's never told any of the StuCS about that world. Because when she returned to this one, it was like she never left at all. She had to pretend everything was fine, just like it normally was. ]

[ It takes him a second to look up at who he ran into, his cheeks red with embarrassment. His first day, and he's already made a mess of things. It's bad enough that he ran into someone, but to run into a girl? Some fresh start this was.

But when he looks up at her, he feels something... a pinging somewhere inside of him, like he recognizes her even though he's never seen her before in his life. He has no memory of CERES or Cerealia, which means that to him, this is simply a mysterious feeling that he can't quite place.

After a second, he realizes he's staring, and his cheeks turn even redder. He quickly pushes himself up, looking away. ]

Um... I'm sorry. I thought I'd be the only person in the hallway since I was running late. Are... are you okay?

[ She can't tell if he's recognized her or not, but she's going for the latter as he seems to wear a face without any sort of recognition. ]

Don't worry about it. [ She tries to smile at least. ] I had to talk to Gotou before classes started. Do you need help getting to class? I'm a third year, so if you need help, I don't mind.

[ And because Gotou is their homeroom teacher. . . she doesn't have to go to class early, either. ]

I'm in 3-E.

[ He rubs the back of his head and looks around sheepishly. He probably just isn't used to seeing cute girls like that who aren't completely ignoring him, that's all. ]

I'm supposed to be in 2-B. I guess that makes you my senpai, huh?

[ Before she has time to answer, he gives her a friendly smile, though he's still a little embarrassed. And nervous, too, for some reason. ]

[ As soon as he hears her name, he feels... something. For some reason, he feels like he knew that was her name, and yet, despite her apparently having some kind of reputation, he's never heard it before in his life. Not this life, anyway.

He pauses at her offer, wondering if he'd make a better impression if he showed he could make it on his own or if he should just accept it. Maybe joke around about having a cute upperclassman show him around, if he feels like starting out his new high school life as a flirt. But for some reason, when he opens his mouth, what comes out is: ]

Himeko's a really pretty name... I always liked it.

[ He doesn't even realize he's saying something out of the ordinary right now. It seems natural to say that, like he's heard that name a lot before. ]

[ Her head hurts but she's going to make an attempt to get up and open the door. When she does and notices Keiichi she can't help but gape, just a little bit. ]

W-What are you doing in that, Kei-chan?!

[ He's not sure if he's relieved that she doesn't immediately settle into leering at him, or if that just makes this whole situation more embarrassing. Whatever the case, he looks down, looking thoroughly defeated and holding his messenger bag in front of his skirt. ]

It turns out that you and Shion have really similar taste in punishments, Mion...

[ Inaba blinks several times before her cheeks burn a bright red, glancing away out of embarrassment to hide her own red cheeks before. . . ]

Wait, don't call me by my first name!

[ Oh, poor Inaba. She's pushed his shameless button, blushing like that. ]

[ He tucks his hands in his pockets and shrugs his shoulders casually, as if just stating facts. In reality, he's being an asshole and seeing how red he can make her. ]

[ She's trying really hard to not allow Keiichi to get to her by stating the facts. ]
