[ It was by complete accident. There was a flash of light in the storage shed and then the feeling of his hand pretty much on proverbial fire to the point where it hurts. There's definitely something on his left hand now, and it's something that's unnatural. But when he looks up again, what he sees is even more strange than that.
A person, appearing out of nowhere before his eyes -- like some sort of magecraft. But that's supposed to be impossible. At least, he's certain that he couldn't be the cause for it all, given that he's not exactly a good magus.
All he can do after all, is reinforcement, structural grasp, and projection magecraft. And two of the three he can only do with a limited amount of success.
So he can't help but eventually work his mouth in a sheer attempt to say something. Anything. ]
