[The rumors were pretty easy to trace, if one had the right mindset about those weird 2chan threads six months ago. Magic might just be real, and there was definitely something odd about the girl who lived in a cabin at the woods on the campus of Mahora Academy. More tracing had led her to the guess that Evangeline A.K. McDowell was probably not Scottish, probably hadn't skipped four grades, and probably was a vampire of significant power. Possibly the perfect person to recruit into Rei's scheme - or at least to make use of to enhance her abilities, the better to pursue her goals with.

The cabin certainly did not resemble a vampire's castle of any sort. It was... Well, a cabin in the woods. Through the windows, Rei couldn't see any people, but did see a very 'girly' decor - dolls, games, and the like. The closet was cracked open, though the only thing she could see through that was a martial arts gi, sized for a girl a fair bit younger than Rei...]

[ Rei was a rather intelligent young girl; scanning through the forums herself on her own time and using other people's eyes as well to scavenge through all the information. And what did she find? The strange, strange stories about one Evangeline A.K. McDowell.

When she had decided to come uninvited, she knew that this was going to dangerous. Better ditch the wheelchair, then. Which was why she walks inside the cabin, violet eyes searching to see if she could find the owner before the owner found her.

But it seemed that wasn't likely to happen - not easily, at least. ]

[Well, that's why Rei couldn't see Evangeline through the window. She was sitting rather low to the floor, her attention on a TV running some old video game.]

[ Rei doesn't take another step closer to the vampire girl either, just simply smiling with what seems to be sheer confidence. It's not as if it's unplaced, however; there's definitely something behind it -- a cruelty that may or may not be misplaced. ]

My plan is to get rid of... certain people. Ones who betrayed me.

And I should concern myself with such a plan, why?

[Evangeline chuckles a little. She has to figure Rei has something, but it's not clear what.]

Because getting rid of certain people takes certain planning. And it means that I can give you nearly anything you want.

... Do define 'certain people'. I'd prefer not to end up in a situation where I'm helping kill someone who it'd be particularly problematic to kill.

[The tone implies it wouldn't be hard to kill... Almost anyone. But that doesn't mean it won't cause other problems.]

As for what I want... Hrm. If you've planned enough to try and pick me up for a job... Surely, you can articulate what you think I want?

[Rei, how much intelligence did you gather on this girl? Are you aware of her robot-girl servant, Chachamaru? Probably, because you came when she was out. If she's as immortal as the rumors claim, she's probably rich. But then why's she been on this same island for twenty years? Probably some curse. If you had found a way to break that...]
