THE AMUSEMENT PARK MEME
Everyone likes having fun right? What's more fun than going to an amusement park? Going to it with your friends, family, new acquaintances or even enemies! The possibilities are endless!

Full park! The place is packed and you can barely step two feet without bumping into someone. Can you find your friend in the crowds? Did you lose them? Long lines getting you down? Maybe this wasn't as fun as you thought it would be.
Slow day. Well lucky you! No long lines or waiting hours, the park is yours to have all the fun you want! Ride that roller coaster ten times in a row if you want, just don't lose your lunch on the ride!
Abandoned. You've found an amusement park that was shut down and abandoned years ago. For some reason there still seems to be power, but not all the rides work, or if they do they may not work right. Lights blink and flicker and die, songs that once sounded cheerful and joyful now drone and fade eerily from speakers that are clogged with dust and rusted by rain and not being kept up. Who knows, this place may even be haunted!
What's your theme? Not in it just for amusement? How about a theme park? Get out your bathing suit it's a water park! Or maybe one based off the dinosaurs? Or maybe you want to shoot up into outer space? Or knights in shining armor are more you deal? Whatever it may be, you're now in a theme park all of your choosing!
Or just do whatever you want! These are only a few ideas to get you started, but the sky is the limit, just have fun!

Of course, he had known all along that she wouldn't refuse, but he wasn't absolutely certain that she didn't come just to tell him that she couldn't do this. This being the whole "we're on a date" thing. And even now, he couldn't believe it. Pinching himself in the arm to reaffirm that he's not dreaming (because he could be, right? who would want to date someone who doesn't even know his own SHSL???) and then subsequently tugging at his tie, adjusting it a little as he tries to make himself look cool, Hinata clears his throat before speaking up again, this time with more confidence. ]
I was wondering if you wanted to go into the haunted house. [ That's his first choice. He has all of this mapped in his head already: the ideal perfect date. Of course, a lot of it comes from talking to some of the others on the island and his own personal thoughts, as ordinary as they are, but starting with something small is okay, right?

HIS HEART IS ALREADY HAMMERING IN HIS CHEST READY TO BURST but he's trying to play it cool so he won't be seen as a dork (except he already is). ]x-(!!!!!
[Is that an appropriate location for a date?! She'd had no idea! Unconsciously, she stiffens, reaching back to finger the bag on her back. Surely it would be fine if it were with Hajime, but...]

But then I would be entering a place unarmed where I know fear will be waiting for me. In that sense, a haunted house is almost like a training ground, isn't it?
[OVERTHINKING MUCH... she shifts her hand from her shinai to instead twine around a loose bit of hair near her cheek, expression faintly troubled as she looks to Hajime for advice.]

[ Her reaction to the idea of going to the haunted house causes him to flinch slightly in surprise, swallowing hard as he tries to hide his nearly flushed expression with a small jerk of his head, not looking directly at her. He tries so hard. ]

[She gives him a long, careful stare, as if measuring him. Is there a reason he proposed the haunted house, of all places, knowing that it would be a place of fear? Perhaps it's an attempt to lower her guard...
No, ridiculous. She's already decided to trust Hajime, so after that awkward few, silent seconds, she reaches to her shinai again, shrugging the bag off her shoulders.]

Although he had a reason to bring her to the haunted house first before any of the actual rides, he is now certain that this was a Mistake. But he won't take it back now, because he's. Well. If he took it back now he'd... he'd be seen as a scaredy cat.
