Happy new year, everyone! To start off things strong for this year, I'm putting up a fresh new call me out for a fresh new start of the year. Basically, you want to do a thread with me? Come at me, I'm ripped.

One of my New Year's resolutions is to not drop the ball on PSL / meme stuff this year, so I'll be trying my very best to keep up with these throughout the year. [It's a bustling city, one jam-packed with people running this way and that. Given that it's a weekday, everyone is off doing their own things for work or school, and it's hard not to get pushed around.

But at one particular street corner, a hand suddenly shoots out to grab the sleeve of your shirt, trying to stop you.]

Just a moment!

[It's a...teenager? Probably somewhere around 17 or 18. And with his plain clothes and slight country accent, it's pretty easy to tell that he doesn't belong here. But he's trying to get your attention, and it sounds urgent.]

[trickstirring]

[well, the bustling streets of Tokyo in particular probably doesn't help matters much either. Akira is taken completely by last surprise when someone grabs him by the sleeve of his shirt, enough to make him briefly pause, glancing at the other teenager with quite a bit of obvious curiosity.]

. . . Did you need something?

[directions, maybe? or perhaps some help? either option is one that he wouldn't turn down for the most part, unless it were for nefarious reasons. not that he has any reason to suspect this person of that, especially given the urgency in his voice]

Just a moment of your time, if you don't mind?

[The young man is smiling and looking generally pleasant as he asks that. No ulterior motives here, nope.

Except a semi truck suddenly blows through the intersection, narrowly missing a couple people who had just barely gotten to the other side. And it would have totally taken out Akira if he hadn't been stopped on this side of the crosswalk. So perhaps there is an ulterior motive after all.]

["a moment", huh.

although he does notice that and just. . . pauses a bit, staring at him a little bit with a bit of curiosity. hm.]

That sure happened.

It definitely did!

[But now that the danger has passed, he'll let Akira go on his way and disappear into the crowd-

okay yeah no, he'll just reach for Akira's hand now.]

How fast can you run?

I'd like to think my stamina stat is a ten.

[although he won't be taking that hand because he is a free man who doesn't need any hand holding]

[Out of some shit nobody understands. Satoshi is just smiling at that though.]

Good! Then keep up!

[And even if Akira doesn't want to hold hands, Satoshi will try to snag the sleeve of his coat while he runs. Because spoilers: it's gonna get Howl's Moving Castle up in here.]

nevertheless, he's definitely looking a little surprised at the whole Howl's Moving Castle sequence but at the same time, he's chill about it]
