Why do you think they can settle in a horror setting if they’re under 18?: Himeko herself has dealt with a lot of psychological trauma in the past two years; in both her first and second year, she had to deal with Heartseed essentially experimenting on herself and the rest of her club members. She's also a natural born leader behind the shadows, willing to investigate and work things out no matter how difficult the trials and tribulations may seem. Not to mention that mentally, she's surprisingly strong. While she may describe herself as weak; perhaps even fragile, she manages to push through no matter what. Something I'd also like to mention is that her analysis skill helps her out in a horror setting a lot, as she has a keen eye for things that others might not see immediately.
Canon Abilities/Powers: She is a normal human being for the most part. However, she is rather skilled with computers - having built one from scratch and even knows how to build them as well. She also have a strong analysis ability, meaning that she's rather observant of her surroundings and can use that to formulate plans.

What is their greatest negative emotion towards an object, situation, or person in their past?: Himeko's most negative emotion in the past was a heavy self-loathing towards herself. She had a tendency to see things in simply "black and white", and even thought of herself as a "dark person" to the point where she thought that she didn't want anybody to see that side of her.

Of course, as time went on and she grew - she soon learned that people weren't simply just simply purely 'bad people' or purely 'good people'; that everyone isn't innately one thing or the other, but rather holds both potentials inside of them.

Outside of this, though, which I should mention because it's something that she hasn't exactly gotten past is her deep hatred for Heartseed, the supernatural being behind manipulating all the events in the series, especially how Heartseed essentially made her, along with the rest of the Cultural Research Club (CRC) into living science experiments.
How aware are they of this negative emotion, and how do they act on it in canon?: She is actually rather keenly aware of both of the negative emotions listed above, as in Kizu Random she states outright that she saw herself as a monster; as unlovable trash. The way she dealt with the former is by putting an emotional wall between herself and other people, out of fear that others might start to despise her just as much as she did herself. However, in later parts of canon, she grew to learn from those feelings, as she was told that people aren't just simply "bad" or "good", there's a rather grey spectrum. As she says herself, in canon: people aren't built to just simply resent, hate, or reject others; they live to learn and love, too.

As for the Heartseed matter specifically, she hasn't exactly gotten over her hatred for the thing. It considers itself an omniscient being, not to mention that it
What is their greatest virtue?: Her compassion for others. She shows that she cares about her friends by giving them advice when it's necessary, as she can use her analysis skills to help them out when it's most important since this is something that only she can do. She also truly puts others before herself, as she's even made the decision to throw away her feelings so she could keep her friendships and help others out.

How aware are they of their virtue, and how do they act on it in canon?: She's also rather keenly aware of this, too. As stated above, she actually initially throws away any romantic feelings she has for Taichi because she thought that things would work out better for him and Iori. While she knows how to balance her own feelings, she also cares too much about the others to be so selfish.

Special Notes: Due to Heartseed's experiments, it's noted that her soul has been tampered with and also that her soul is actually a lot more used to supernatural phenomenon and tampering; it isn't that she's entirely immune to it, but rather she's more likely to be able to fight it (subconsciously) because of it.
