[Shion had decided to stay the night at the Sonozaki estate--it honestly was for the best, given how dangerous it would be on this night.
But then she overheard her conversation over the phone with Kei-chan, her beloved, kind and sweet Kei-chan who had properly seen her as a girl, who made her so happy, and heard that they broke a taboo and her expression went dark and grim.
She couldn't help the anger that bubbled through in spite of herself.
While she loved her sister to the bitter end, there were things about her that she despised...
...and the fact that she had dragged him into this mess? She couldn't help herself. Perhaps that's why things turned out the way that it did, with her hands around Shion's neck as a threat before she finally let go. Of course she had no plans on killing Shion. After all, she was still someone that she cared about.
But still -
There was something maddening about how someone could potentially target Kei-chan now for such a silly, outdated reason as breaking into the saiguden.
When Mion speaks up, there's no lightness in her voice.
She isn't Sonozaki Mion, the energetic club leader.
She isn't Sonozaki Shion--the girl that she used to be, years ago.
And while one could possibly argue that she's the heir in the way that she speaks, the way her voice drops into something icy--
This is all the raw emotion of a girl in love.]
Shion, you understand... don't you? Your sin. You brought Kei-chan into this. So you know already. That you have to atone for it. You will atone for it. And it won't be just your nails this time.

I'm sorry... I'm sorry... Please, Onee, I'll do whatever you want, just don't... Please don't kill me...
[Her hands shake, phantom pain running through her fingers at the thought of going through something worse. She'd almost rather die than whatever Mion might put her through.
It's almost funny, even if Shion isn't laughing. The way Mion had accused her for Kei-chan's sake, as if Shion had been behind it all. In another life, maybe Shion would have done the same... even if she doesn't think she'd have the self-control to stop herself like Mion did. Perhaps it can just be another thing that they share.
It should be even scarier, but somehow it... calms her. Just a little bit. She still feels a step away from hysterics, but she can understand why Mion is doing it. And it grounds her - she cannot die yet. If Mion has it within her to fight for Maebara Keiichi, then Shion has it within her to keep fighting for Houjou Satoshi.]
What... do you want me to do?
[The demon that rests within her. The demon that her sister is forced to carry upon her back.
She'll clasp hands with her to walk down this twisted path.]

And after all...
...she does have the demon, right? One that she never wanted, but had to carry all this time.]
If you really promise not to betray me, Shion... then everything will be fine. First... you'll switch with me. I want you to speak with granny and Kimiyoshi-ojisan. Figure out if they're really targeting Kei-chan. And while you do that, I'll make preparations so that Kei-chan will be safe.
