[ The studio that all twenty participants had come to was no ordinary one.

It was a place that was secluded from the outside world, crafted specifically for these young minds to be on a sick, twisted reality-slash-game show.

Week after week, it tore at Akane's heart.

They'd offer up a motive. Some weeks, someone would succeed. They'd have a trial, figure out who the culprit is, and then the host would execute whoever was chosen, regardless of whether they were 'correct' or not.

But on weeks where they managed to prevent a murder, they'd play a game of sorts- many of them would be based off of other game shows that you'd see around, but would be more potentially deadly.

Everyone was split into four teams of five randomly, and each group had their own separate dorm area of sorts.

While Akane herself was not on the same team as Shirogane Miyuki... that didn't mean that they couldn't work together. In fact, he had saved her one week from an unfortunate fate. She felt indebted to him. There had to be some way that she could help him out.

She had heard from one of the other "contestants" that Shirogane's ideal girl was someone named Shinomiya Kaguya. That name was a bit familiar- or at least, the last name was. The Shinomiyas were a well known conglomerate that would sometimes invest in the entertainment business; she even heard from fellow members of Lalalie that if they could get that family interested in their theater company, they would truly be a success.

One of the rooms in the "house" they were living in during the duration of all of this was a library. It was stock full of all the information that she could possibly ask for.

And so...

She devoted her time to studying.

It didn't take her more than a day to figure out what this girl was like, and while she definitely had to fill in some holes that she couldn't find, but that was easy for her.

All she had to do was put it in practice. So she seeks him out after preparing herself--for once, she's glad there's a costuming room that she could use to replicate the look- something that she could possibly wear casually- a black dress with a bright red cardigan and tying her hair up with the 'usual' red ribbon- before seeking him. When she sees him, her eyes shut for a moment before she gets into character, speaking up with an air of confidence that she normally wouldn't have a tone that was befitting of someone who could only be described as upper class. ]

Ah, there you are. I've been looking for you for a while, president.

[ Her bright eyes shimmer, radiating something that, in spite of how in some ways she looks different enough from Kaguya for someone to tell the difference if they scrutinized hard enough, would be considered as deceptive.

Eyes that could make lies into truths. ]

It's... it's really good, Shinomiya...

If you want to go a bit faster...

[ His hands settle on her hips, leaning in slightly. Where is she... he wants to kiss her. ]

[lunarcycles]

Mm.

[ Her breath hitches as she picks up the pace slightly. Of course, she also notices him leaning in close, so she closes in to press her own lips against his own. ]

[taketori]

[ They make contact, and he can feel himself tense momentarily once he feels her lips. The sensation, from the top and bottom, were getting him completely lost. He wanted, craved more.

Before he breaks the kiss, before he moves away. He starts on getting rid of the blindfold. Unneeded for what was coming next. ]

[repliacting]

[ Ah, he's taking off the blindfold--

Oh no.

Her movements slow, but she doesn't break away from him, much less say anything. The gears in her mind have grounded to a halt. ]

[ He wanted to finish on top. It would be dangerous to move Shinomiya with a blindfold on, so he had to remove it. As he opened his eyes--

...it was a reminder.

Right. He had been through Hell, and he hadn't fully recovered. Shirogane Miyuki was wide awake and he hadn't reunited just yet.

More importantly... he had given everything just now to someone other than the girl he was in love with.

He's rotten. Scum. Awful. ]

[taketori]

[ --to hell with it.

Miyuki holds on and lifts them both off of the bed momentarily to turn them around, getting Akane's back against the mattress. Without much thought, his eyes focus as he starts to move his hips, being less than gentle about it.

With a groan, he leans forward, trying to get a damn good angle-- ]

Kurokawa...!

[repliacting]

Shi- Shirogane-kun...!?

[ The way he calls her by her name, even if it's her last name is enough to snap her out of the act, gasping when he suddenly lifts her to put her on the bed, going at her a bit harder than expected.

Not that she minds, really, but she's certainly surprised-- ]

[taketori]

You... why did you...?!

[ In truth, Shirogane was pissed off. It felt like a betrayal in a way, even though he'd seen this before from her. This was what willed her through her plan, through her escape.

Damn it... this was her way of thanking him?

Shirogane's arms wrap around Akane's thighs as he drives into her, putting himself back fully in control. As he suspected, he won't last much longer, but he's going to make sure that she feels it first. ]

[repliacting]

[ Her breath stills and her eyes widen ever so slightly. Even though she wants to say something, she doesn't really get the chance- not when he's moving at that pace, getting her so close.

She can feel her voice tremble and shake, unable to form any words outside of gasps and eager moans. ]

[taketori]

[ He doesn't want to stop. Really, it was what made him wish that he'd used a condom to begin with. But his movements start to slow before he pulls himself out.

Grabbing onto his erection to bring himself past that peak, coming on her stomach with a harsh groan, using one hand to keep himself from collapsing on top of her. ]

[repliacting]

[ She finds herself climaxing as well, but she doesn't say anything.

Or rather, she feels like she can't, slightly out of breath. ]

[taketori]

[ Shirogane on the other hand, doesn't join her.

Once he's finished, he sits on the edge of the bed for just a moment before he stands up--

...he has to be kind, regardless. Providing her with tissues, before he sits again. ]

...why go that far?

[repliacting]

[ The fact that he's being kind... it's surprising to her. She takes the tissues and cleans herself off before answering. ]

I owe you my life. So I was willing to give you anything. Even if that included this. I'm only good at one thing, and-- that's being anyone besides 'Kurokawa Akane'.

[taketori]

--Listen.

[ He sighs. What the hell. ]

First. You don't owe me anything. Your life's your own, all I did was tell the truth the way that I saw it.

[ Which was that, Kurokawa Akane was not a murderer. From all angles, that was the only conclusion someone should come to. ]

Second... I appreciate the thought, but it feels disrespectful to impersonate someone as a "thank you."

Third...

[ Why does he even need to say this...? ]

If I had to pick between Kurokawa Akane, and Shinomiya Kaguya as portrayed by Kurokawa Akane... it'd be the former, not the latter. I'd just want you to be yourself.

That's the Kurokawa that I know and would want to thank myself.

[ She's embarrassed now. But more than that, the fact that he says that she doesn't owe him anything...

That seems wrong.

She would have died if he didn't say the truth. ]

But... after looking at things. I didn't think that I'd have any chances...

[taketori]

...in all honesty, I'd have agreed.

[ Wait, that sounds kinda bad. ]

It's nothing against you, I swear. You're a nice girl. I'm...

I'm just in love. I can't brush that aside that easily.

[repliacting]

I knew that. When... I was figuring out what kind of person 'Shinomiya Kaguya' is. I could tell.

That's why I did what I had to. It's selfish, I know. But... I really thought I was dead, back then. Having someone actually save me made me extremely happy.

[taketori]

Honestly... you're damn good, Kurokawa. Losing you would have been a robbery to me and the rest of the world.

[repliacting]

Aha... I mean, I suppose that's true. I am an actor, after all.

[ "After all".

She knows that's all she has. It's what got them to escape. ]

[taketori]

Even so, you're the one I should be thanking. I wouldn't be here at all without you.

[repliacting]

I... was only able to do that because I was acting 'confident'. Because that's the kind of person Shinomiya-san is, most of the time.

[taketori]

...Is that something seriously that easy to turn on? Like flipping a switch?

[repliacting]

For me... it is, once I've got their patterns down. Why?

[taketori]

No real reason. Just, it catches me completely off guard the moment that you're able to do it. It's like she's actually here.

[repliacting]

It's the one thing I'm confident in, after all. That sort of thing--I'm known for it.
