It's harder to pretend not to like this... [He sighs lightly and closes his eyes again,] Well- Fine... If it's okay. This is more comfortable anyway.

Anyway, I'm going back to sleep.... 'night.

Right… Sleep well, Himeko. I- I love you… [It still feels so weird to say that out loud.

The kami does eventually shift to lay on his back and stare at the ceiling: Fully aware of where the stars are in the universe and trying to focus on his power and role, rather than the girl sleeping next to him. He’s awkward enough to do this all night too!]

[ Well at least she's a quiet sleeper so that might help. ]

[He'll get a few more hours of sleep, probably. It's becoming morning when he notices that something has changed: His power is growing smaller. A sign, he recognizes, of Yuuto waking up.

So he sits up, casting her a concerned look before deciding to at least try to keep his promise. Even if he doesn't want to wake her for something that he wants to perceive as small.]

... Himeko? Sorry. I think- It's time to go.

[dereban]

Mm...? Ah--

[ She smiles, but it's a sad one. ]

This is 'goodbye' in a way, huh.

[spacialeyes]

Yes. This is “goodbye.”

[He can feel the change, but doesn’t realize that it’s visible too: The natural gold colour of Yuuto’s eyes is becoming more apparent as the magical pink dims.]

[-And Yuuto abruptly tunes back in. With his hand on her cheek and leaning over her in bed, but absolutely no idea how he got here. He blinks in confusion and meets her gaze with his mixed pink-gold eyes.]

[spacialeyes]

But... Wait! Didn't I fall really far? I don't remember- Did I hit the ground? Was I dreaming?? Why are we in bed- Did you fall???

[dereban]

You did and knocked yourself out so hard that a fragment of the "spacetime kami" came out.

I'm fine, just a bit groggy.

[spacialeyes]

Eh? Are they okay? [He glances around their surroundings to confirm no one else is there,] A-Are you- Are you okay?? I'm so sorry- I was stupid, uh... Have you been sleeping? I think I woke you up..??

[dereban]

They're gone now. ...I'm fine, though. You did wake me up, but I wanted to see you really badly, anyway.

[A couple things click into place. Yuuto may be stupid




but he's also good at observing his surroundings. The way his hand rests on her cheek cues him in to the fact that Inaba and the Spacetime kami were getting along well. He has some theories as to why. And the tone of her voice, combined with the fact she was talked into sleeping, makes him worry about her emotions.

Yuuto moves his thumb to stroke her cheek, exchanging his panic for concern.]

... I'm sorry for worrying you. Thank goodness you're alright.

Were you scared? [Somewhat rhetorical question with her, so he elaborates-] I'm sorry for leaving you alone.

[dereban]

I was worried at first. But... I managed.

[spacialeyes]

I appreciate it. [He'll check that she seems receptive before leaning in for a kiss, smiling with relief as he moves closer,] Thank you, Himeko. You're amazing.

[dereban]
