OPEN PSL ❖ fragment space

"Welcome to the S.S Phoenix! We hope you enjoy your stay!"
- You open your eyes feeling a little stiff. The last thing you recall is seeing your planet get destroyed before a hand reached out to you--Captain's hand. You were then greeted with the same introductory phrase before receiving the keys to their brand new dorm, a device--you're told it's called the Babelfish, something that allows you to interact with others through the interdimensional network--and perhaps an extra thing or two.
You are then ushered into the onboarding area, where you can see your fellow passengers. Some foreign faces, perhaps even some familiar ones. Before you are given any time to think, however, Captain, at the head of the room, speaks up.
"Once again, welcome new guests, to the S.S. Phoenix! You may call me Captain. Today is your first day of onboarding, where you can get to learn more about us and your fellow passengers.
We are part of the Interdimensional Galactic Coalition, a system that was created to keep order and peace amongst the multiverse. This ship that you're currently in is now your new home. Consider the card that you have obtained your citizenship. However, staying here comes with a price.
As you already know, your worlds were destroyed. And we are here to help restore those worlds into proper order. But in order to do that, you must obtain Fragments. These mysterious Fragments will then power our ship's Revival Program. Those can be found in various worlds.
Now, if you have any further questions, now is the time to ask."
And she opens up the floor for questions--any questions.
[ OOC: Welcome, everyone, to a long form PSL in the form of Fragment Space! The premise of this is that your character's universes have been destroyed -- player's choice on the how -- and they have been rescued by the Captain to adventure to various worlds.
This PSL will very much be an exploration/mystery setup, with various types of settings that I will work with players on.
Locations for the S.S. Phoenix can be found here, and current NPC information can be found here.
In terms of moving things along, I will try to make sure that things move smoothly at least once a month. If you need to contact me for any questions/comments/concerns, please ping me either on plurk (
you know what give me both. you know why.
[Don't mind an unfamiliar face calling her by name with curious eyes, Mem floating next to Stelle rather curiously.
"Hm? Is that a friend?"]
ALTERNATE UNIVERSE BULLSHIT GO-
[She's already smelling bubble universe shenanigans, but also...]
Where did you even get my name from, hm?
[For her part, Mei perks up and blinks in confusion. Why did that...?]
...Elysia-?

["Ely...sia? Is that my real name?"]
It's a pretty one if that's true.

You know Welt...? We haven't seen him in some time now.
[They haven't been able to catch up with him, either; it's a relatively safe assumption he also made it here, seeing so many of their peers have too, but the knowledge he wasn't in the initial wave has them a bit anxious.]

[She is absolutely taking out her phone for this.]

[Tesla's going to have his head at some point, she swears to the Herrschers...
Mei, meanwhile, distracts herself for a moment with the pink flying critter next to Stelle. She tries to wave at it, not entirely sure what to think just yet, but--it is cute...]

...you know where this is going.
Meanwhile, Mem waves back at Mei with a smile, going "Hi~!"]
Well?
1/??????
...at least, until she sees that familiar head of red hair, and an equally familiar face.]
Wait... wait, that can't be-
Hm? Bronya...?
[The shock is palpable in her otherwise monotone voice.]
Himeko...?
2/??????
[That distracts her enough from the curious critter that is Mem that she bolts upright to get a look at the picture.]
...there's a lot different, but--she's practically the spitting image of her...
3/????
[It would have been extremely jarring either way; most of the time, their mentor was fairly... uh, relaxed when she wasn't dressed for work. Slovenly, even. Not to the point of being improperly dressed, but certainly casual in how she carried herself.]
4/4 I'M DONE-
[Even if it wasn't the same Himeko... ultimately, it was still her, in some form. Mei scratches her cheek for a moment before turning back to Stelle.]
How did you meet them, exactly? And how long have you been with them?

[There's a sort of nostalgia that filters into her voice as she thinks back. To think that it's been so long already...]
Is he still showing off his favorite mecha design?
