[ To Nanami Chiaki, the number of people that she cared about and appreciated were those whom she count on one hand. Yukizome-sensei, her fellow classmates, and Hinata Hajime. Especially Hinata-kun, considering that he was the first person that she'd met that could play video games at a level that was close to her. He may not be a Super High School Level Gamer himself, but that didn't matter to her in the slightest bit.
Talent isn't the goal. And besides, he was freer than her in the sense that he could do whatever he wanted, become anyone and anything.
She only had games, in the end. Not that she thought it was bad, but rather, it was something that kept her caged in.
So when she grabbed him by the hand suddenly and without warning, leading him to the local arcade, she couldn't help but smile just a little bit. She had friends whom she could play games with. And playing with everyone was fun. Who knew that co-op would be so fun? It's been especially fun with Hinata-kun... she thinks.
Eventually the duo manages to make it to their final destination - for now, anyway - and goes right on ahead and makes a beeline towards the new fighting game cabinet that she had told him about. ]
Come on, Hinata-kun... I told you we were going to play this game together.
[ Even if he's bad at it. Her eyes are lighting up and she's so ecstati that it's going to be really damn hard to say 'no' to her. But then again, why would you? ]
Do you know how to play yet? If you don't, I can teach you. I'm really good at this game, and I've heard that it's improved a lot from its predecessors.

Mm, I think I know how to play. It's like other fighting games isn't it?
[He can't say he's very good at them, but he knows how to play them and turns to the machine to demonstrate.]
You just wiggle the joystick to move and hit the buttons to punch and kick and combo, right?
[Pretty simple! At least he thinks so. Hajime wouldn't be at all surprised if there was something he was missing, or something the gamer girl knew that he didn't. That's to be expected of Chiaki after all. Something he'd really come to enjoy, even if it did usually mean he was going to get his butt handed to him in whatever they were playing.
It was fun, though, even during times like that. Somehow losing to her wasn't the least bit frustrating, even knowing he was going to no matter what. That was her talent, after all. It'd be impossible for a normal guy like him to beat her. She made that okay though.]

It's not just like other fighting games, Hinata-kun. It's the new Dangan Fighter 4!
[ She's insistent in proving her point, her fingers wrapping around the joystick by herself. She's going to give him a crash course in fighting games in sixty seconds or more. Probably more, considering, but... she has faith in him. If it's Hinata-kun, he'll be able to do it, no questions asked. ]
Even though it's a four button fighting game that utilizes kicks, punches and combos... [ And she shows him which buttons are the kicks and punches the same time the words come out of her mouth. ] If you use combos too often or the same kick or punch, a good player will be able to read your movements and you won't be able to get your Ultras in. Instead, you'll get a KO before you're even given the chance.
And each character has their own play style, too. So you can't just use the same combo and expect it to work with another character. And Dangan Fighter 4 seems to even have that special character that mimics other characters' fighting styles at random, so you should avoid using that character as much as possible, Hinata-kun... Ah, but there are some characters that work well for beginners. Like Ryo. Got it?
