hey guys it's ya girl len here with a open voice-testing post (please save me) for akira kurusu / ren amamiya (shrugs at protag names) from persona 5. . . except that he's from the "good" ending where he sells his soul (okay not Literally Sell His Soul, but close enough) to the god of control, yaldabaoth so that he can save the world from ruin and make the phantom thieves great again aka selfish justice and desires. yeah, that's a thing.

anyway, a few things to note about this iteration:

• he's very much the same guy in some ways. he plays up the quiet an unassuming act, but will act cocky and confident as Joker
  
• but the changes are pretty drastic. he's a lot more self-centered about his goals and cares more about personal justice > what's Actually Right
  
• he also doesn't really give a flying shit about other people, but he'll pretend he does
  
• while he doesn't murder people because Phantom Thief Creed, he absolutely would murder a guy if he was given the option to because nobody would give a shit?? he's in control now
  
• HAREM ROUTE because he's that kind of asshole
  
• all of his personas are Broken and OP as hell because again That Kind of Asshole, but he does not have his endgame persona, satanael
  
• literally fused away arsene the first chance he got, sorry buddy
  
• he actually fought both sae and akechi solo.
  
• he maxed out everyone's confidants. he also has max stats, including kindness?? even though his real personality is that he's a dick?
  
• only half cared that akechi died. he's just Disappointed that he doesn't have a ~rival~ anymore. phantom thieves need rivals, damn it
  
• will make a Deal with practically anyone if it means that he benefits off of it.
  
• gets Bored real fucking easily now. he'll still shitpost and stuff but it's not as fun anymore???


and that's basically it. i'm willing to play this version against other Akira/Rens (honestly, give me doubles, I LOVE THAT SHIT) and various other Persona users, whether they're from different games or different timelines of P5 (look, seriously, give me True Ending P5 members) too or AUs? come at me, i'm ripped.

as for scenarios, i'm willing to do stuff with mementos or having him go into palaces although honestly i can work with people making an Attempt to go into ren's palace too since he'd probably have one now, although it's definitely not gonna be Easy. and i can go w/ text posts (i.e. tfln or whatever) but if you're especially stuck? have some prompt ideas below this. (but you don't need to use those if you'd prefer something else) i'm here for you, fam.

[She feels a little pride knowing he likes it, but quickly feels dumb about it. Sure, she suggested they come here and she's glad her pick was good, but it's not like she cooked it herself. Why should she care? Maybe after what he did she wants to impress him? Or maybe she's drawn in by how charming he is?

Despite being so frustrated with how swayed she is by him, Kaname murmurs her own itadakimasu before joining him in eating. When the appetizers are gone and the pot of yosenabe is low the waitress brings out the large parfait. Chidori smirks upon seeing it.]

You're not finished yet, Kurusu. Time to show me what you're made of.

[This isn't actually a challenge, but speaking like it is makes Kaname more comfortable than any kind of small talk. She plucks one of the creme filled Pirouline wafers from the parfait. With the end covered in whipped cream she points it daringly at his face.]

Not going to throw in the towel, are you?

[when everything's eaten and then finally the parfait is placed on the table, he can't help but take a spoon, twirl it around in his fingers playfully smirking]

Of course not. This is just the beginning after all.

[and then he puts the spoon with a rather hearty chuckle as he takes the strawberry from the top of the parfait and immediately eats it before diving back into the whip cream himself]

[Well look at that. Those spindly fingers are good for something. She's impressed with his dexterity for a moment before taking a bite of the wafer on the whipped cream end. After finishing off the wafer she dives into the parfait with him.

When they make it to the bottom with one spoonful left Chidori goes for it. Even if it means both of their spoons collide as they dive in.]

Is this where our budding friendship dies?

[She taps his spoon with her own purposefully this time before retracting from the bowl. He can have it. He did save her after all, and she works here. It's fine. She'll just lick her spoon clean and watch to see his reaction.]

I think you should leave the heart stealing to the Phantom Thieves. But if you want a serious answer? I'm a bit of a challenge.

[Chidori actually didn't expect a serious answer to her joke. She's a bit stunned by her own competitive nature that makes her want to blurt out, "Want to test that?" but she stifles it by biting on her bottom lip. While she considers her next words, Kaname places her spoon in the now empty bowl.]

Oh? That makes us two of a kind. You have the pleasure of knowing Jindai High's most eligible bachelorette nobody can date.

[Not that they'd ever want to. Her personality is volatile, and unpredictable. She's loud, direct, and far too intimidating for most of her peers. In fact most of her friends are superficial save one girl.

Kaname fishes out the money to pay for the bill, and sets it on the table.]
