OPEN PSL ❖ fragment space

"Welcome to the S.S Phoenix! We hope you enjoy your stay!"
- You open your eyes feeling a little stiff. The last thing you recall is seeing your planet get destroyed before a hand reached out to you--Captain's hand. You were then greeted with the same introductory phrase before receiving the keys to their brand new dorm, a device--you're told it's called the Babelfish, something that allows you to interact with others through the interdimensional network--and perhaps an extra thing or two.
You are then ushered into the onboarding area, where you can see your fellow passengers. Some foreign faces, perhaps even some familiar ones. Before you are given any time to think, however, Captain, at the head of the room, speaks up.
"Once again, welcome new guests, to the S.S. Phoenix! You may call me Captain. Today is your first day of onboarding, where you can get to learn more about us and your fellow passengers.
We are part of the Interdimensional Galactic Coalition, a system that was created to keep order and peace amongst the multiverse. This ship that you're currently in is now your new home. Consider the card that you have obtained your citizenship. However, staying here comes with a price.
As you already know, your worlds were destroyed. And we are here to help restore those worlds into proper order. But in order to do that, you must obtain Fragments. These mysterious Fragments will then power our ship's Revival Program. Those can be found in various worlds.
Now, if you have any further questions, now is the time to ask."
And she opens up the floor for questions--any questions.
[ OOC: Welcome, everyone, to a long form PSL in the form of Fragment Space! The premise of this is that your character's universes have been destroyed -- player's choice on the how -- and they have been rescued by the Captain to adventure to various worlds.
This PSL will very much be an exploration/mystery setup, with various types of settings that I will work with players on.
Locations for the S.S. Phoenix can be found here, and current NPC information can be found here.
In terms of moving things along, I will try to make sure that things move smoothly at least once a month. If you need to contact me for any questions/comments/concerns, please ping me either on plurk (

And Yuki herself had gone in thinking that there might be something useful in here. But then, she suddenly spots something out of the corner of her eye and rushes over with a rather shocked fervor.]
There's no way something like this would be here... and yet--!?
[She's found treasure.
A Kayamori Ruka dakimakura.]
I didn't know she even had this sort of merch...! What do I do, do I get it?

[...which doesn't mean Ena isn't going to be looking for Niigo doujin merch which shouldn't exist either, as she walks around with a cart presently containing fancy colored pencils, butcher paper, and. Is that an easel??]
That's not a no, though. If it makes you happy, you should get it. But it might take up your whole bunk.

[The slightly sly smile on her face suggests Ena already knows the answer.]
I haven't decided if I want to find anything of my friends in here. Or myself, but that would be super weird.

[She sighs, knowingly. Guess she's going to have to buy it!]
You think you'd have merch of yourself here...? Are you also famous or something?

[ Ruka being here was a blessing in and of itself. That she was accompanied by two other members of 31-A was a pleasant surprise, and one that Aoi was grateful for. Her fears of being the only survivor yet again were at least somewhat alleviated.
Unfortunately, it means that she's going to be exposed... to this... ]
Is... is that...
[ She... she knew Ruka was famous, having learned that pretty recently, but... ]
P... pokaaaaaaaan...
[ Unsurprisingly, she reacts as such. ]

WAIT, DON'T GO "POKAN" OVER SOMETHING LIKE THIS!!!!
no subject
[ Forget "close", she actually spaced out... she just snapped out of it quickly. ]
Izumi-san... don't worry, your secret is safe with Aoi.

[ Part of that is a genuine question because where would you even find a dakimakura, let alone one of a celebrity, in a COSTCO!? Not only that, but a SPACE COSTCO at that!
But, also, y'know. It's Ruka, so...
...She needs to change the subject, fast. ]
I-I mean... how curious...
no subject
[She points it out, seemingly nearby.]
I was pretty shocked.

Whyyyyyyyy.
[... It's pretty easy to figure out even before coming around that this girl's staring at a set of dakimakura of her entire team.]
Half of these aren't even accurate, it's not like Ash is subtle about...
[She isn't sure what she thinks.]
I guess it's nice we get doujin merch at least but that is also terrifying...

[Just picking up the daki and heading over--]
You too?

This one seems to be unaware of...
[She pulls a sleeve back, revealing some very neat surgery scars... That look like they're made to be reopenable.]
Cybernetics. Not even once if you wanna be a supermodel.

That has to be the deciding factor, right? This place wouldn't have merch of random Joes Schmoe.
