OPEN PSL ❖ fragment space

"Welcome to the S.S Phoenix! We hope you enjoy your stay!"
- You open your eyes feeling a little stiff. The last thing you recall is seeing your planet get destroyed before a hand reached out to you--Captain's hand. You were then greeted with the same introductory phrase before receiving the keys to their brand new dorm, a device--you're told it's called the Babelfish, something that allows you to interact with others through the interdimensional network--and perhaps an extra thing or two.
You are then ushered into the onboarding area, where you can see your fellow passengers. Some foreign faces, perhaps even some familiar ones. Before you are given any time to think, however, Captain, at the head of the room, speaks up.
"Once again, welcome new guests, to the S.S. Phoenix! You may call me Captain. Today is your first day of onboarding, where you can get to learn more about us and your fellow passengers.
We are part of the Interdimensional Galactic Coalition, a system that was created to keep order and peace amongst the multiverse. This ship that you're currently in is now your new home. Consider the card that you have obtained your citizenship. However, staying here comes with a price.
As you already know, your worlds were destroyed. And we are here to help restore those worlds into proper order. But in order to do that, you must obtain Fragments. These mysterious Fragments will then power our ship's Revival Program. Those can be found in various worlds.
Now, if you have any further questions, now is the time to ask."
And she opens up the floor for questions--any questions.
[ OOC: Welcome, everyone, to a long form PSL in the form of Fragment Space! The premise of this is that your character's universes have been destroyed -- player's choice on the how -- and they have been rescued by the Captain to adventure to various worlds.
This PSL will very much be an exploration/mystery setup, with various types of settings that I will work with players on.
Locations for the S.S. Phoenix can be found here, and current NPC information can be found here.
In terms of moving things along, I will try to make sure that things move smoothly at least once a month. If you need to contact me for any questions/comments/concerns, please ping me either on plurk (
this dumbass,
[Maid outfits? No thanks. Ruka is nowhere near interested in getting in one. It's like wearing a swimsuit, just for a different kind of weirdo fan! ...okay, maybe She Is Legend isn't really known around these parts, but even so, it's not something she's actively pursuing.
...or so she thought, but then she got an idea and wanted to pull something especially dumb. If she could get Yuki into one, then maybe, just maybe...! But that just leaves a problem: which one would actually fit her? And for that matter, would she be able to convince her to wear one?
...maybe she'd be fine wearing one just this once, and then she could just chuck it off. Yeah, that would do it. It's a one and done thing anyway, so she'll be perfectly fine giving it a go just for the memes...
Ruka, with that in mind, commits to just chucking on the red maid outfit she finds, and brings a blue one over to Yuki. Of course, someone can run into her along the way and wave her down, at which point she skids to a stop without missing a beat.]
What's up? You need me for something?
[...of course, the fun doesn't quite last, and after she's had her fill and tries to take the thing off, Ruka can now be found wandering around the ship -- or rather, sneaking around it, trying not to be seen too much. Of all the times for her to be stuck in this thing...]
Why did they have to put some kinda magic glue onto this outfit!? I just wanted to play around in maid outfits for a bit then put them away!
wandering
[Sorry, Megumi can hear you and has now had the (un)fortunate timing of actually spotting her.]
no subject
[Oh, thank Bazooka, she might be able to get out of this yet--
She's already running over to grab the psychiccer by the shoulders, throwing any caution to the wind.]
You gotta help me! It's just not coming off no matter how much I try!
no subject
no subject
That's one way to put it! Even the apron and cap feel like they're superglued to me!
[Ruka promptly presents the maid cap to Megumi as if to say, 'just pull on it, you'll see'.
...well, it's nothing if not an effective demonstration of the nonsense she's dealing with-]
no subject
[And on three she's going to tug.
Unfortunately, it does not come off, but the tugging might hurt a little bit.]
no subject
Owowowow--!
[Thankfully she braces herself well enough, but, well. She can still feel the cap on her head.
Ruka really hates it here. Can she get a refund?]
See!? It didn't even budge! I can adjust it and whatnot, but the moment I wanna try and remove it, nothing! It's like someone glued it onto me!
no subject
[That's so strange.
But wait. She's a psychic. And one that's grown more powerful over the last two weeks. Perhaps--]
Lemme try somethin' else.
[To at least check on something first-]
. . . Huh.
no subject
What? What is it, Megumin? Am I going to be stuck as a maid for the rest of my life? Do I have to curl up in our bedroom and become a shut-in now?
[RUKA...]
no subject
[First of all.]
And yer our leader, ya can't become a shut-in. I'm sure both Izumi and I'll drag ya out if ya even try.
no subject
Hexed?
[...Spending enough time with Kozue has let her put two and two together a bit too quickly -- for her own good, in this case.]
Wait, what do you mean, it's cursed!? WHY is it cursed!?!?
no subject
[She only can tell that it is, that's it.] Now get off'a me!
no subject
[Well, not like she can do much about this hex or whatever.
Ruka eventually steps back, staring down at herself before rubbing her face. Where is Kozu when you need her...?]
Man, this sucks... how am I supposed to get around like this?

[She sees Ruka first but freezes up when she sees her in the outfit that she's wearing.
Just give her a second to pinch herself first to make sure that she's not dreaming.]

Now, now, Yukkie, this isn't the time to be shook!
[Ruka.]
So, wanna play maids for a bit? It'll be fun, I promise!
no subject
[She can't take it, send help.]
no subject
Wait, what? Daki?
[Oh, no.]
What daki? Do I need to know about this daki? Do you have it with you? I gotta know, Yukkie!
no subject
I found a shelf full of dakimakuras of you on it and bought one.
no subject
You actually bought it!? What if that was unauthorized merch!??!
[WHO EVEN MADE IT, AND WHO DOES SHE HAVE TO COMPLAIN TO-]
