[ You've managed to escape. You've even managed to get out completely unscathed, regardless of the fact that Rei has completely disappeared. The cops did arrive on the scene soon after, thanks to a certain someone, especially considering the fact that they had no idea where they were, or how to leave. But Rei gave her word, so be grateful.

Mitsuki's probably on her way to jail now for her crimes, but if Phoenix manages to ask the police for any trace of Rei Hazama, he'll simply get the answer of: "Rei Hazama never existed in that place."

So all's good in the world for now at least, regardless of the oncoming danger that may occur by the time he gets back to the office. ]

Y-yeah, that sounds rough. Ah... I'm Phoenix Wright, by the way. What's your name?

A... Athena. [She says this as she takes a breath.] It's Athena Cykes, mister.

[wright_idea]

Athena. I see...

[I should really focus more on trying to figure out what Rei wants, but this girl's been through something hard...]

Uh... Do you want to talk about it at all? I... I mean if you don't mind telling a stranger about your problems.

[cykeologist]

Um, well...

[She's fidgety, but doesn't say much of anything.]

...No, it's okay. I shouldn't pry. So are they trying to make you leave right now, then?

[cykeologist]

Not right now now, but soon! And I don't wanna leave.

[wright_idea]

I see. I'm sorry I can't help you. Probably best you don't just accept random help from strangers anyway, right?

[I can't even imagine what she must be going through right now.]

Listen, though... I heard something. You said someone was innocent in court, right?

[cykeologist]

Mhm.

And... yeah. The guy who they said was guilty... he was innocent! His heart was yelling that he was innocent!

His heart...?

[cykeologist]

U-huh. [She nods easily in response.]

I could hear his heart crying that he didn't do it, but nobody believed me!

[YEAH that's literally all you're getting because she's a little kid]

[wright_idea]

[Well, I can't say I fully understand it, but...]

If you believe it, then I believe it. Hold onto that conviction tight in your heart. And maybe someday, you'll be able to fight for him. Understand?

[cykeologist]

Mhmm. I'm gonna save him someday.

[wright_idea]

[He smiles slightly.]

All right. I'll believe in you, then. Look me up sometime when you think you're ready to fight for him, okay? I'm a defense attorney. I bet I could help.

[There's an all familiar voice coming from behind Phoenix.]

And you can. Without this man's help. [Guess who?]

[Phoenix feels his heart drop into his stomach. He whirls around, instantly on edge.]

R-Rei...

[No way! What is SHE doing here?!]

[dolosa]

[She is seemingly without her entourage, tossing Phoenix a sickly sweet smile that could belong to an angel. If only it belonged to someone else.]

It's good to see you again, onii-chan. [Her voice is gentle and childlike as she beams innocently at him; it should remind him of another woman's smile, seeing as they mirror each other.] You didn't miss me, did you?

[wright_idea]

[That has to be the nastiest chill that went down Phoenix's back.]

[So THIS is what they call "dejà vu."]

Don't "onii-chan" me. What the hell are you doing here?

[dolosa]

[Rei giggles innocently at the sight of his displeasure, clasping her hands together.]

I wanted to see Athena-chan.

[wright_idea]

[It clicks. Oh, does it ever click.

He moves ever so subtly in front of Athena.]

Targeting little girls instead of teenagers? You really have no limits to how low you go, do you?

[This is bad... If she's trying to make Athena into a "wolf," she's probably going to try to get to her just like she did Maya and Mitsuki. But I've never actually seen Rei's ability to hypnotize before. Could she really get to Athena just like that?]

[dolosa]

Age doesn't really matter when it comes to bringing salvation.

[She giggles easily, beaming.]

In fact, I'll set the samurai prosecutor free and find her mother's real killer. I'm sure you'd like that, wouldn't you, Athena? [The girl that's behind Phoenix at this point nods her head, still a little frightened, but, she manages to say:]

"S-- She's not lying."

[wright_idea]

And then what? You'll make her kill the culprit? Like you made Mitsuki kill her friend, and try to kill me? How many other people will you sic her on to eliminate the world of lies? I won't allow it!

[dolosa]

I'm not as crude as to make a child kill the culprit. I'll just have the authorities kill them.

[wright_idea]

[Damn... how many people does she actually have under her thumb? Assuming she's not bluffing.]

And then what? What possible interest could you have in her over anybody else?

[dolosa]

She's just like me. Someone with an ability who's lost their parents, the only people that cared about her, that mattered. I want to take care of her, and hone that ability of hers.
