( closed ) and so i ask of thee, are you my master?
[ It had been a few days since he had summoned his Servant, and he still couldn't help but be rather surprised by the situation as a whole. Besides, Shirou didn't really understand it all honestly - regardless of the fact that both Tohsaka and that fake priest's explanations.
Early in the morning, he decides to cook up some breakfast for her. It's the least he can do, after all. For breakfast, he starts with some miso soup, rice and salmon. He won't wake her up, or at least, he'll try not to, since he wants her to have as much rest as she possible can-- seeing as he didn't make a proper contract with her.
Though he'll definitely go to check on her if the food almost gets cold.. ]

[ He hums inquisitively to himself, mulling things over in his head. He didn't know much about pumpkins, but to see that they're used in such a way... it piques his interest quite a bit. ]
"Potential vessels for escape"? You mean like that one story..? [ Is he going to become Cinderella at some point? ]
no subject
Stories have power, Master. Why, that's what Servants are, after all. And while that one isn't my story, it's one I know, and one I can draw upon for inspiration.

[She laughs, a giggly snort of a thing.]
Just don't expect me to wear any glass slippers, alright?
no subject
[ That's... a strange laugh. ]
And I wouldn't expect you to.
no subject
[The laughter dies after a minute and they round a corner to find a large garden center. A Komeri Home Center, in fact. Complete with a chicken sign.]
Goodness! It smells of springtime, doesn't it? All those flowers!
no subject
There really are a lot of flowers in this store though...
[ He's never actually been in here, since he's never had to. ]
no subject
[She practically tugs him along, clearly excited. Flowers are wonderful. They're her life. Or...were.]
It's only early afternoon, so we don't have to worry. And my powers will make them grow by nightfall anyway. So we'll end up safe and sound.

Or would you rather keep me close?
no subject
No, it's better to save time than to waste it.

[She writes out a small list for him, mostly of things like soil, fertilizer, pots, and a watering can before zooming off...]

I think I have everything. And it wasn't too expensive. There was a sale.
no subject
Until evening, anyway. ]

[She's largely ambivalent about food.]
It is energy, after all. And sunlight!
no subject
[ Since he usually doesn't eat out, most of the time. Cooking food for himself saved so much more money. ]
no subject
How about there?
[She doesn't know better...]

[ Emiya Shirou grumbles at the fact that anybody would consider going to a McDonald's at all in the slightest. It makes him shudder, really... ]
Hmm. [ He takes several glances around before finding a cafe-- ] Ah, here's a good place.
no subject
[She seems extremely confused, but follows.]
How is this different? It's still a restaurant?
no subject
[ Don't even start. He's not eating fast food. He's not doing such a horrendous thing. ]
I honestly prefer something more proper. [ Once they're inside, he tells the waiter that there's two of them so he can get some seats. ]
no subject
[And that seems to settle it. Harsh, Shirou.]
What sort of food is served here?
no subject
Mostly European food, it seems. Hopefully it's not too expensive.
no subject
[A beat.]
Though I could make more if we really need it.
