It's a risky assumption for him to take, but all it takes is for two people to vote for the werewolf to kill them... and Keiichi knows who he hopes Rika's voting for... the same person he's voting for.

There is only one person out there who might want to help him survive... there is only one person who might benefit from him surviving if he's indeed the Werewolf... someone who wants to die. Someone who might think her chances are better against a single opponent in the finals round than against all of her classmates... and if that person can convince the two holdouts, he might stage a comeback.

He won't give in, even if defeat seems completely inevitable. As long as there's even a shadow of a chance, he has to fight. That's who he is. ]

Rena... it's making sense to me now. I have to say... things worked out pretty nicely for you, didn't they? You didn't even have to lie at all about not originally drawing the werewolf card. You just had to take it from Mion and not say anything.

[ Whatever has been done to the card in front of him, he's careful to keep it covered with his palm as he stands up, slamming both his hands on his desk. ]

[There's a taunting note to her voice as she gets up from her seat, a smirk playing upon her lips.]

How can you be so sure of that, hm? Are you going to claim that Rena's the thief? Because I can tell you that she isn't with absolute certainty.

[To which, Lambdadelta starts yelling while watching this Fragment.]

The order of events are werewolf, seer, robber, troublemaker for this particular game. The only roles that don't wake up are the villager and tanner.

So... shall I explain to you how you're going to lose, Kei-chan?

... Mii, I want to explain Keiichi's reasoning first before you do that. If we don't catch the big bad wolf, everyone in the town will lose in one fell swoop. [Besides, things are only getting more interesting from here.] Let's take the hypothetical that Rena's the sneaky thief and Mii was the original werewolf. It would mean that after the robbery, Mii became a thief and Rena is the werewolf. That also means that after I swapped Keiichi and Mii, Keiichi is now the thief. If Keiichi wasn't lying about his role in the beginning, Mii would be the villager, and Keiichi the thief. Which would mean that we should vote for Rena.

Actually, in this scenario, I think Satoko is an innocent shrine maiden, and the girl next to her is a lovable troublemaker who sets off traps for people.

[ He has to resist the urge to smile. Rena is playing her part well. And he has an opening with Satoko now. ]

Rika-chan... you nailed one thing. I intentionally deceived everyone about my role at the beginning. That's why I didn't care when it looked like people might suspect me until you confirmed that you swapped our cards.

Rika, Satoko! We need to band together if we're going to catch the werewolf! While it's true that Keiichi could have been lying about his role by offering his up first, the heart of the matter is that his role was swapped! And that is easily proven by the fact that Rika is the troublemaker!

Not only that...! The original werewolf can see two cards from the center if they are the only werewolf. And since nobody's refuting my claim as the original werewolf, I'll break open the door right now and tell you all that both the seer and robber cards are in the center!

Those are the cards that are not in play! Keeping that in mind: this would mean that either Rena, Satoko, or Keiichi were potentially the tanner. If only one swap happened - which is the one that Rika claims to have happened between myself and Keiichi, then Keiichi is the werewolf and we should vote him off!

I'm personally of the opinion that Rena is the tanner, and that's why she decided to go in and make an attempt at accusing him the very moment he stated his role as a 'villager' to make herself look more suspicious. Which is also the reason why she didn't state her own role until I lied and decided to claim robber.

Hmm. [Shion taps her chin, deep in thought as she mulls it all over in her head.] As the impartial judge, a tie would mean that the werewolf, whoever they are, would win the game. But only if there is a tie.

... I don't think Mii is lying.

Nobody's claimed to be the seer, after all. And the one who claimed to be robber was Mii in the first place, until I told everyone I swapped cards.



"This is still quite the mess that Keiichi-san has made, though.

I don't really completely understand the last half of his logic... Mion-san, Rena-san, perhaps one of you two might be able to explain it to me a bit better?"

[Mion raises a hand - an indication to Rena that she'll go first here. If Rena wants to jump in and correct her on anything, she'll allow it. After all, now is basically the time to debate.

And given that this is Keiichi's specialty... she needs to go hard.

Even harder than normal, if she wants to win.]

[ He gives Mion a wicked, devilish grin. She thinks she can tempt Rena with the prospect of a maid? He'll bribe the referee as well! How foolish of her to resort to trying to steal his own tricks, and how foolish of Satoko to throw her lot in with Mion and turn herself into a target as well! ]
