[mafuyu; something something Witch AU as discussed and also sorry for this novel of a starter-]
Kanade is a formidable witch. Despite her rather frail demeanor, when she sets her mind to something, she'll see it done. She may be terrible at taking care of herself and standing up for herself, but when it comes to those she cares about? She'll fight with every scrap of energy left in her body. That's how it's been for months, now; when her dearest friend had shown up on her doorstep one night, soaked to the bone and shivering from a mix of chill and overwhelming emotion, Kanade had switched herself into full Protect mode. She'd warded her little cottage far out in the woods with layer upon layer of spells, spreading them out even into the woods surrounding them. Alarm spells were set, spirit and animal familiars were on alert - nothing could step foot in this forest without her knowing. All to protect Mafuyu.
But Kanade had made a mistake.
For all that she'd done to keep Mafuyu protected, she hadn't afforded the same care for herself. Kanade never does. Without any wards around her mind, she's easy prey. Especially when she received a letter from the Lady Asahina; an attempt to parlay, to discuss in a civilized manner the topic of the girl currently living with Kanade.
Kanade had been alert when they met, but it wasn't enough. She had been expecting a normal human, or one with only budding magical potential, like Mafuyu. But the moment she'd been left alone in a sitting room in the mansion that had acted as nothing but a gilded bird cage for her dearest friend, she'd felt fingers in her brain and fangs at her ear. Kanade had barely a second to realize what was happening before that sweet, poisonous fog had filled her head, and all that resonated in her mind was a deep, alluring voice...
"All I want is for my dearest child to return home, safe where she belongs. She won't listen to me - but you. She'll listen to you, my new pet. Do your best to convince her, won't you?"
The voice was like honey, sickeningly sweet but leaving a heavy, syrupy feeling in her head. Despite something nagging at the back of her mind... yes. It made sense. If she could guide Mafuyu home, if she was given the chance to stay with her... everyone could be happy, couldn't they? If she can prove to Mafuyu that she can make her feel good, it doesn't matter where Mafuyu is, as long as they're together, right?
It's that thought, not that scratching at the back of her mind, that sticks with Kanade as she makes her way home. Past the wards and the guards, straight through the front door. Her home isn't particularly large, but she still has to look about to search for where Mafuyu has squirreled herself away for the day.]

[ She had been waiting in the dining room quietly, just staring at herself in the table's reflection, only raising her blue-purple eyes in Kanade's direction with only the smallest hints of curiosity. ]
How was the trip?

[There's definitely a certain... change to Kanade, right now. She'd seemed more like a prowling wolf when she'd left, an attack dog ready to bare her fangs against a threat. But now she's back to how she usually is with Mafuyu, all gentle smiles and warm, shining eyes... but also with something different. Something lighter, almost?]
Hey, Mafuyu... coming here that day. It was because of me, wasn't it? Not just because this is a safe, out of the way place?

[ She doesn't need to say anything; the way she just nods her head quietly is all the answer that anyone, especially someone as observant as Kanade is towards her really needs. ]

[ Mafuyu echoes in a soft voice, blinking at her quietly before nodding. ]

[Again, there's that shine in Kanade's eyes. It's not like that warm glow whenever she looks at Mafuyu, like she's staring into a vibrant fire. It's... glassy, almost, and for just the briefest of moments, so easy to miss, ocean blue almost seems to flash a bright pink.]
So if I were to come home with you... you wouldn't want that?

[ Her words are immediate and insistent. ]

[Kanade leans in closer. There's a brief tingle where her fingertips meet Mafuyu's skin, a telltale sign of some sort of magic being cast, and those hands grow cold as they slide down the sides of Mafuyu's face, down to the sensitive skin of her throat.]
We won't have to hide. Isn't that a good thing...?

[ There's a shaky doubt in the way she asks the question. ]

[That, at least, the Lady's spell didn't need to work into her mind. It's all Kanade's ever wanted, since Mafuyu first started visiting her home. Even before they began living together, she strove for nothing but seeing that smile again.
And she'll make her smile, over and over again. Until Mafuyu can be happy again, no matter where she is.]
I'll show you just how good I can make you feel. [Kanade's voice, always a little breathy, seems to take on even more of that quality. Like she's getting excited just through her own words.] Even back home, no matter what happens, you can come into my arms and I'll make you feel nothing but pleasure.

[A response to both the woman in control of her mind, and the girl in control of her heart. Really, there was never any way Kanade wouldn't fall into this snare.
She doesn't kiss Mafuyu, not yet. Instead, the cool hands at her throat move down, tracing along the patch of skin not hidden by the collar of Mafuyu's shirt. They trace invisible little musical notes with each inch, the feeling akin to running an ice cube along flesh, until they reach the barrier of clothing.]
Let's get this off first, shall we?
[And without waiting for a response, Kanade begins to undo the buttons of Mafuyu's shirt.]

[ She's quiet, but she lets Kanade do as she wishes, only moving to help remove the shirt completely. Mafuyu will let her do all the work - after all, she wants Kanade to properly show her. ]

Ah, you don't have to hide yourself, Mafuyu. That's what I promised when we first started living together, right?
[Her hands travel back up Mafuyu's sides, feather-light and still pleasantly chilled, before reaching up to cup her breasts. Kanade doesn't get to work immediately, instead letting her thumbs idly trace circles around Mafuyu's nipples as she stares straight into the other girl's eyes.]

[Kanade pulls back, just enough to watch Mafuyu's face. That unnatural glow in her eyes is back, but there's also that familiar shine; the one so often seen when Mafuyu responds to a song Kanade's written for her. It's a thrill of discovery, and Kanade seems eager to press further.]
I wonder, was that because of the words, or the pain...?
[Another twist, topped off with a not-quite-gentle tug of both nipples this time.]

[ Mafuyu finds herself chewing on her lower lip, her eyes widening ever so slightly, but unable to do much, too distracted by the feeling. ]

[Short teleportation is child's play. With a snap of Kanade's fingers, their surroundings change; instead of the dining room, they're now in Kanade's messy bedroom. Dull glowing orbs hover in the corners to give them enough light to see by, but Mafuyu won't get to take it in for very long. There's another soft brush against her skin, but this time - it's a thin, silky cloth, slithering around her neck like a serpent before moving up the side of her cheek, further up until it crosses over her eyes. It winds around her head, curling snugly into a blindfold until it cuts off Mafuyu's sight completely.]
Something like this... don't worry, it'll just make everything feel better.
[And then, Kanade's muttering something under her breath - clearly a spell of some kind, but without any warning, there's no telling what she's about to do...]

[ It's as simple as that. Even if all she can see is the color of the cloth covering her eyes, it's fine. ]

With her focus returned, Kanade finishes the spell with a hiss, and for a moment, nothing seems to happen. There's no rise or fall in the temperature of the room, no buzzing electrical current along Mafuyu's skin. Nothing, until-]
If you want to feel... I'll make you feel a lot.
[- At Kanade's words, something slips up one of Mafuyu's legs. It's not as soft as the blindfold that had curled around her eyes, no. It's slick, warm, like some damp living thing. It winds its way up her leg, under her skirt, like a serpent curling around a branch, until the pointed tip of the thing reaches her thigh. Just as Kanade's fingers had danced along her collarbone, so too does the thing dance along the soft flesh of her inner thigh; moving higher, then lower, teasing...
But it's not the only one. Another strange appendage curls loosely around Mafuyu's torso, and another at one wrist...]
