[ You've managed to escape. You've even managed to get out completely unscathed, regardless of the fact that Rei has completely disappeared. The cops did arrive on the scene soon after, thanks to a certain someone, especially considering the fact that they had no idea where they were, or how to leave. But Rei gave her word, so be grateful.

Mitsuki's probably on her way to jail now for her crimes, but if Phoenix manages to ask the police for any trace of Rei Hazama, he'll simply get the answer of: "Rei Hazama never existed in that place."

So all's good in the world for now at least, regardless of the oncoming danger that may occur by the time he gets back to the office. ]

Excuse me, is there something I can help you with?

[There's a voice of a young woman who seems to be dressed for the job; clad in uniform - not a police one, but one from the Space Center - greeting people and telling people that although certain areas are closed off the place itself is not.]

[Crap! Uh, think fast, Wright!]

Um, I'm Phoenix Wright, a defense attorney. I'm looking into Simon Blackquill's case. Is there anything you can tell me about it?

[Well, it's all true at least... although I probably just put myself further onto the chopping block as far as Rei's concerned.]

[moepcs]

Blackquill's case...? Oh, you mean the one that was settled a while back ago. I don't know the exact details, since I was not on the scene at the time, but apparently the victim, Metis Cykes, was working with Simon Blackquill's sister on some sort of robotics project, and that the two of them fought over it which was why Simon killed her.

[Looks like this employee is a part of the rumor mill.]

I also heard that the victim's daughter tried to convince people in court that Simon was innocent, but... Well. She's just a child, it's not possible that she could know any better. [A shrug.] The poor little girl... she's probably going to be sent to her other relatives pretty soon.

[wright_idea]

[Well aren't we a gossip. Still, that catches my attention...]

She claimed he was innocent? Did she say why she felt that way?

[moepcs]

[An honest, apologetic smile as she shakes her head.]

I'm sorry... I don't know. Is there anything else you'd like to know, however, Mr. Wright?

[wright_idea]

[Where the kid is, but I suspect that would just come across as creepy.]

Yeah, uh... am I the only one who's been asking about this besides the police?

[moepcs]

Hmm. About this case? I don't think so... as far as I know, anyway.

[You'd think that Rei would ask about it. She didn't. Of course, Phoenix could always ask about Rei for other reasons if he manages to come up with a good excuse.]

[wright_idea]

[Yeah, that just figures, doesn't it? Hmm... there's gotta be some other avenue I can take.]

Do you know anybody who might know better? Maybe somebody who was directly involved in the situation?

[moepcs]

I'd say that captain would be your best shot. But good luck trying to get through his thick skull. Other than him... one of the other employees, maybe one of the people working on the space project might be able to assist you.

Do you need a map? I can show you the locations where you can possibly find them.

[wright_idea]

[Wow, she's really nice... and has NO sense of security whatsoever.]

If that's possible, I'd like that, yeah.

[moepcs]

[It's not a part of her job, so she doesn't have to deal with it. As long as she tells the public which areas to avoid, it's not a problem. She did her job.]

Alright, give me a moment... [It does take some time for her to get two maps, one so he can have, and another where he can see it, opening it wide.] So, as long as you make sure to ignore the locations here and here, you can go to anywhere in the Center. The Captain sometimes waits outside of the building, though you can also find him here. The other two members are always out and about, though they're generally around this area here.

[She gestures to the locations where you can find them which is basically the same locations in Ace Attorney 5, I'm lazy.]

[wright_idea]

All right, thank you. I'll let you know if there's anything else I need, okay?

[All right... hopefully, I can find someone who can give me a better idea of what Rei's gunning for -- and won't chuck me out on the street for asking too many questions.]

[He wanders over to the boarding lounge first.]

[There's plenty of people in the boarding lounge, including a familiar flash of purple hair. It seems that indeed, Rei is here, sporting on some rather fashionable clothes and twintails. She's not in her wheelchair this time, surprisingly, and she doesn't seem to be alone, having her arm attached to another guy's intimately.

He will also find some of the coworkers who will give you more information, as well, depending on who he wants to talk to first.]

[wright_idea]

[Phoenix ducks his head impulsively at the sight of her, even though he knows that head of his is ridiculously distinctive.]

[Geez, maybe I should invest in a hat or something. Who is that guy, though? Another brainwashee?]

[He creates a story as he talks to others: he'd seen a girl he recognized as the sister of a friend of his, but he keeps losing track of her, and have you seen her around? She seems to be with a guy friend.]

[dolosa]

[They seem to tell him that if they're looking for the twintailed girl, she seems to be heading in the direction of the Space Museum. If and when he spots her though, he'll notice one of two things.

She's laughing and chatting it up with the guy rather casually, smiling brightly as they walk side by side. Of course, they will stop and look around the Space Center once they're there; it seems that she's not going anywhere from here.

So it's definitely possible to talk her down at this point if he so dares to, especially since she told the guy that she wanted to buy some souvenirs.]

[wright_idea]

[Yeah, uh, trying to talk her down sounds like an aggressively terrible idea. I don't know what her plan is just yet, and I'm pretty sure all I'd get is taunted. That guy, though...]

[He finds a hat that looks like it would cover his distinctive hairstyle, buys it, and walks up as nonchalantly as he can to the guy. His hand is in his pocket, wrapped around a lucky little trinket he picked up briefly back at his apartment. For good luck. ...Yeah.]

Man, are you really dating Rei Hazama? How'd you manage that, you lucky jerk?

[dolosa]

[The young man is someone around Rei's age, a rather gruff teenage boy with brown, messy hair, a lean body. He doesn't seem too strong either, it seems.

The boy laughs rather awkwardly as he scratches the back of his head.]

"Yeah. Do you know her? She's really cute. I just confessed to her today and she said yes!"

[He doesn't seem to be lying, nor does he seem to be hiding anything, either.]

"So I thought, for our first date, I should get her something nice. She said she wanted to come here for some reason, but... after the incident, I was a little unsure at first-- but I really wanted to make her happy."

[wright_idea]

[I... I just had the worst case of deja vu ever.]

You don't know? She used to be on a show I was really big on back in the day! I didn't know she was into space stuff too! But yeah, that was a hell of a thing, wasn't it? She didn't seem hesitant at all? That's pretty brave.

[dolosa]

"No way! What show is that? I gotta find out so I can watch it myself."

[He seems way too enthusiastic for this, as he picks up a snowglobe.]

"She was, a little. At least, that's how she seemed to me. Hey, do you think she'll like this?"

[wright_idea]

Ah, well, it's been off the air for a while now, unfortunately. Not sure it ever got released on DVD, either. I'm sure she'll be back in show biz soon enough, though! She's got a special quality to her, you know?

[Called insanity.]

Eh? Hmm, maybe! I bet she might like some of the stuff over there too, though. Say, where do you guys think you're heading next, anyway?

[dolosa]

"Huh. Maybe I should search her name up and find out what kind of show she was in."

[His grin widens two sizes as he pulls a hand into his chest triumphantly.]

"Alright! Guess I'll buy this and maybe a shirt." [He shrugs in response.] "I don't know, but I was thinking of taking her to an amusement park-- oh, maybe I should call out to her."

[The young boy turns around and calls out to her, with a "Rei, Reeei." Which means that there are footsteps that are headed this way, Phoenix.]

[wright_idea]

[Annnnnnd that's my cue to exit.]

[He ducks out while the boy's back is turned.]

[All right, let's think about this. She came here for a reason. But she could have easily come here by herself, and she didn't. Now if I were Rei, why would I come here with somebody when I was planning to do something here?

...

Because I'm looking for an alibi!]

[He quickens his pace. Somebody who can keep track of where she is, while something else goes on somewhere else in the building...]

[The woman said that Metis had been working on a robotics project... maybe in the lab?]

[He hurries as fast as he can without making himself obvious.]

[dolosa]

[The lab seems to be cordoned off with plenty of police tape and "do not enter" signs. There's even two guards up in front of the door prepared to stop any intruders.

They will answer questions, however.]

[wright_idea]

[It's never simple, is it?]

They've still got people stationed here? How long ago was the trial, anyway?

[dolosa]

"About a month ago, though one of the prosecutors said that they wanted to keep this space as it is for another thorough inspection."

[That's what he's getting off of the police officer on the left, who looks rather tough looking, but has a gentle inclination to his voice.]
