[ Wraiths. The enemy of the magical girl. But now, the enemy of one person who goes by the name of Homura Akemi. But... she's no longer a person, is she? All that's left of the girl is a shell; she's the devil now, after all, someone who tore the god known as Kaname Madoka and brought her back down to earth.

Even though she's supposed to be paying attention to that pink haired girl, make her safe, make sure she never gets hurt ever again because Madoka belongs to her-

She then sees her down the street, where all the wraiths are. That's not a good sign. Normal people can't see them, and all they do is suck out emotion until there's nothing left. Knitting her brows, Homura frowned, transforming into a partial magical girl form (the devil form was unbefitting for them) and shooting arrows straight at the creatures.

Although she didn't want to risk having Madoka see her like this, she didn't have much of a choice. Maybe she'll have to erase her memories again, later. She could do that, now that she has all this power. But for now, Homura just turns on her heel, looking at the pinkette with careful eyes, hoping that she wasn't too late.

They didn't take Madoka's emotions, did they? She can't tell immediately, just by looking at her. ]

Kaname Madoka. [ She speaks with no emotion nor sanity in her voice, just cold and emotionless, regardless of her true feelings on the matter. ] Are you alright?

[ Before she realizes it, she's in a tight hug. She lets out a quiet gasp, eyes opening against as she feels a warm body surrounding her. It makes her feel uneasy, yet she also feels safe all at once. ]

Homura-chan? [ Her voice is quiet. She-- doesn't really know this person, yet something like this was happening. ... But, does she know her? It almost feels as though she does.

Isn't that strange? She doesn't understand. ] I... don't understand-- I don't understand anything like that's happening.

[ There's a shakiness in her tone, and it becomes louder with each word she speaks. She doesn't return the hug just yet, yet she doesn't pull away, either. ]

[ Of course she doesn't understand. As the demon who stole away everything from Madoka to make her this picture perfect puppet, in a sense, she had to take away what's important - the memories of their time together.

So of course it doesn't make any sense. Why would it?

Shakily taking a step back, Homura blinks away any tears that tempt to fall. ]

It's okay if you don't understand, Madoka. Just know that I'm always here for you. For anything you want.

I feel like you've already done so much for me already, but... [ She bites the side of her mouth nervously, shifting against Homura. ]

Hommura-chan... Can you please tell me what those were? And-- [ She starts to move to pull away, gaze moving to look at Homura directly. ] I wonder why-- all of this feels familiar. [ She looks away from the other girl. Everything about this felt familiar, yet unfamiliar all at once. While those monsters weren't anything she's seen before, everything about Homura felt as though she wasn't a stranger at all to her, after all. ]

[ A single word answer as she tosses her hair to the side. It doesn't really explain anything at all in the slightest. ]

You don't need to worry about them, Madoka. I'll protect you from them. You didn't lose any of your emotions, did you?
