[ He was afraid she would ask him to drop it. This is so embarrassing. ]

Okay... Hi-Himeko. [ He immediately looks away, too embarrassed to make any sort of eye contact. ]

[ She was right. This is ridiculously embarrassing. In fact, when he unsteadily complies by saying her name, she can't help but blis a dark red and let out a high pitched squeak of embarrassment. ]

Uuuu... It really is embarrassing! Maybe I won't be able to take this, after all. But, um... can y-you say that you love me, Yuuri? With my name attached.

[ She's so embarrassed she can cry, but maybe... she can get used to being called by her first name. ]

W-What? [ He's caught off guard by the question, thinking that he didn't hear her correctly at first, but with how embarrassed she seems he soon realizes that he did.

Yuuri gives her a small nod, his face somehow getting even redder. ] Yeah. I can.

[ It takes him a few seconds though, and he has to take a deep breath. He's not used to saying things like this at all. But still, he looks at her, determined not to look away. ] I... I love you, Himeko. [ It comes out weaker than he'd like it to, and Yuuri inwardly curses at himself for being so embarrassed. ]

[ There's a few moments of silence as she just finds herself staring at him, blankly, trying to comprehend exactly what he said. No, she knows what he said, but the fact he says it, looking directly at her. ]

Hyuuu... I-I was right, it's really embarrassing to hear it. Maybe you should just go back to calling me by last name! [ SHE JUST WANTS TO BURY HER FACE IN HER HANDS AT THIS POINT TBH ] Ah, but...

[ Her gaze wavers, unable to settle at first but soon she looks at him with a firm look in her brown eyes, pressing her lips together, as she takes a breath, steeling herself. Or rather, it's more like she's trying so hard to subdue her feelings as to not... overwhelm him. ]

[ It should be obvious to him that she feels the same way, but hearing it... It's different, and unexpected. His heart races and his face somehow gets even redder and he has to look away. ]

Ahh, this is so embarrassing. [ He's covering his face with his hands, his elbows resting on his knees as he tries to hide how red his face is. ]

[ Her hands are on her cheeks that are flaring up and her voice is rising in pitch when she really doesn't want it to. ]

No, you don't I promise! [ He shakes his head, waving his hands as if that'd prove his point. ]

Really? [ Her voice goes up a pitch, her blush darkening slightly. ]

I-I mean, I'm... I'm not used to it, either, so...

[ He lets out a sigh, looking away. ]

You know... That actually makes me feel a little better. [ Because even if he makes a fool out of himself, they're both figuring this out together. ]
