Huh... There's a mistletoe right above you... T'is the season-- almost. And it looks like you got stuck right under that mistletoe with someone else. And you both can't move until you kiss one another (Of course, not specifying where that kiss needs to happen).

Wow, she has a point. His brow furrows in thought. Then, he boldly looks back up at her, a determined look on his face. ]

Then... it should look convincing, right?

[roofjumping]

Exactly. If it does, they might just leave us alone.

[ She's not completely certain about this fact, but they can at least try, can't they? ]

Right. Then I guess...

[ He swallows nervously, looking at her for a moment. In that moment, his hands gently move to her waist and upper back.

She might be expecting a simple kiss, but Maebara Keiichi does nothing half-assed. Instead, he dips her backward, his arms keeping her from going backward too far, and plants the sort of eyes-closed, caution-thrown-to-the-wind kiss that someone who isn't bothered by the idea of kissing under the mistletoe would clearly give.

Yeah, he might have taken it a little too far. ]

[roofjumping]

[ While there's a bored look in her eyes, it soon fades when sapphire blue eyes widen in sheer surprise to how close he is. His hands are on her, and even as she tries to hide the flush that tempts to reach her cheeks, she can't conceal it entirely. It's too difficult.

But his lips on hers catches her off guard. Not because of the kiss itself, she expected it. However, this is something entirely different - it's nothing like the chaste kiss that she'd imagined it would be. Not at all. ]

[The muscles in his shoulders tense at the light pressure of her fingertips but he doesn't pull away. He tries very, very hard to control the rapid thudding of his heart and fails. It feels like it's trying to run a race and he's invited for the trip. His right hand falls, laying on her shoulder in case she needs steadied. He's too properly raised to do more than that.

Some part of him wants her as close as possible. He's not sure where it came from but his face is hot. Inaba is so warm and just as his thoughts threaten to fray and burst, dizziness makes it too hard to think anything at all. He lingers a moment longer, but finally draws back with a ragged gasp.]

[dereban]

[ Somehow, she's upset when he pulls away from her, but it's not without reason. She wanted the kiss to last longer, after all; she doesn't want it to ever end, even as her heart continues to beat heavily in her chest.

But all she can do is stare at him, rather absentmindedly as if she were a deer in the headlights, confused by exactly what just happened.

It takes her another few seconds before she opens her mouth to finally, finally get some coherent words out. ]

W-Why did you decide to call me by my first name earlier? [ Ah, yes, priorities. ]

[odetothefallen]

[He looks up, trying to recall the reason. Oh. Right.] You looked so upset. I thought it would be better if you were mad at me instead. Sorry, I know you hate it.

[Allen doesn't want to let go of her. He takes his hand from her shoulder and sweeps it through where the barrier had been. They're free.

He smiles at her and taps his cheek as he says.] Feel free to hit me if you'd like. I deserve it.

[dereban]

Of course I hate it! I don't like my first name at all, damn it.

[ Her fingers clench slightly by her sides before she raises one hand, brings it towards his forehead and flicks him right then and there. ]

You could have just asked me, stupid.

[odetothefallen]

[It's a bit sad that he doesn't even flinch. Maybe he knows too many violent people. Allen's sheepish smile hasn't lessened one bit. He slowly lets go of her with obvious reluctance.]

You're right. Sorry. [He glances up at the window noticing the snow falling outside and tucks a lock of hair behind her ear.] If we want to avoid getting snowed in, we should hurry up.

Ah. But. If you want I'll answer something about me as an apology. [He hesitates with the offer, unsure what she might ask. Last time had been in a word, awkward.]

[dereban]

[ He obviously doesn't know her feelings, it seems. Maybe it's because she wasn't able to tell him before. But now... was this her chance? ]

Then. Did you like that kiss? [ There. She's asking it. ]

[odetothefallen]

[His face heats up without checking in with his brain. Allen stutters, leaning back a bit as he tried to control how red his face is getting.

Should have known that's what she'd do.] W-what...why would you as-

[It's Inaba. He looks to the side with a cough and ducks his head, the flush just traveling right up his ears too.]

I liked it because it was with you.

[ He really doesn't mind at all, and he lets himself be dragged closer to her. Right now he only hopes that Inaba can't feel how fast his heart is beating.

Slowly, Yuuri breaks the kiss, but he doesn't pull away. Having Inaba so close is almost too nice and he doesn't want to be further from her than he has to be. ]

...Wow. [ He breathes it out, speechless. ]

[dereban]

[ The only reason why she can't feel it is because she's paying attention to the sound of her own heart pounding heavily in her chest. She's so close to him, and she can't help but hitch a breath, her cheeks still flushed from how warm his lips were, how warm he is like this.

Words don't seem to come out properly as she just buries her head in his shoulder, slightly embarrassed. Slightly, of course, was an understatement. ]

This is really embarrassing...

[swirlied]

[ He slowly wraps his arms around her, pulling her even closer in the process. ]

It is, but... I don't really mind.

[dereban]

Y, You don't-?!

[ Her words come out almost as a squeak, especially when she's pulled really close to him to the point where she can't escape. Not that she really wants to, at this point. ]

Why... why don't you mind, Yuuri?

[swirlied]

[ If he didn't enjoy having her so close right now, he'd pull away and bolt out of the room. It's his first instinct, anyway.

But instead, he closes his eyes and takes a deep breath. ]

Because I... I like you. [ It comes out a lot quieter than he intends it to, but at least he actually manages to say it. ]

[dereban]

[ The confession only darkens her blush. She goes to open and close her mouth, but no words come out at first before she looks up at him. ]

Y, you're serious, right? This isn't a dream... or a prank? You really like me, Yuuri?

[swirlied]

[ He immediately glances away, knowing he'll lose his nerve if he looks her in the eye. ]

Y-Yeah. I've liked you for a while actually... [ This is so embarrassing. ]

Inaba

Hey, Inaba-san!

[Look Inaba, you came to a party, you knew Rise was going to bother you. She does kind of make it her mission to "encourage" the more aloof people in class, after all.]

[At least she's bringing two cups of punch.]

[ Whilst Inaba herself did come to the party because she was invited, that doesn't mean that she would honestly do much interacting with the other people. Nevertheless, she does, however, wear a smile. ]

It's fine, actually. You don't have to make a big deal out of it, though.

[Rise grins back seeing the cool girl smiling, proffering her a drink.]

You've been standing over here in this corner for a while, is all. I thought you could use someone to talk to.

[dereban]

[ She takes the drink in her hands wrapping her fingers around it and taking a sip real quickly before lowering it a bit. ]

It's fine, I didn't really need somebody to talk to...

Maybe we've got different definitions of having fun at a party...

Anyway, I'm just impressed that you picked this corner to stand in and haven't had any guys come up to chat.

Maybe. [ She shrugs her shoulders wide before laughing a little hollowly. ]

Well, most of the guys know who I am. And even if they did come to talk to me, it wouldn't be for long. I'd eventually shoo them away.
