❤ voice test post

- hey guys it's ya girl len here with a open voice-testing post (please save me) for akira kurusu / ren amamiya (shrugs at protag names) from persona 5. . . except that he's from the "good" ending where he sells his soul (okay not Literally Sell His Soul, but close enough) to the god of control, yaldabaoth so that he can save the world from ruin and make the phantom thieves great again aka selfish justice and desires. yeah, that's a thing.
- he's very much the same guy in some ways. he plays up the quiet an unassuming act, but will act cocky and confident as Joker
- but the changes are pretty drastic. he's a lot more self-centered about his goals and cares more about personal justice > what's Actually Right
- he also doesn't really give a flying shit about other people, but he'll pretend he does
- while he doesn't murder people because Phantom Thief Creed, he absolutely would murder a guy if he was given the option to because nobody would give a shit?? he's in control now
- HAREM ROUTE because he's that kind of asshole
- all of his personas are Broken and OP as hell because again That Kind of Asshole, but he does not have his endgame persona, satanael
- literally fused away arsene the first chance he got, sorry buddy
- he actually fought both sae and akechi solo.
- he maxed out everyone's confidants. he also has max stats, including kindness?? even though his real personality is that he's a dick?
- only half cared that akechi died. he's just Disappointed that he doesn't have a ~rival~ anymore. phantom thieves need rivals, damn it
- will make a Deal with practically anyone if it means that he benefits off of it.
- gets Bored real fucking easily now. he'll still shitpost and stuff but it's not as fun anymore???
- random scenario
- hurt/comfort
- murdergame au (let him be a mastermind!! or participate in a murdergame, i'm good w/ either)
- groundhog day / timeloops
- picture prompt
- hypnotism meme
- rainy day
anyway, a few things to note about this iteration:
and that's basically it. i'm willing to play this version against other Akira/Rens (honestly, give me doubles, I LOVE THAT SHIT) and various other Persona users, whether they're from different games or different timelines of P5 (look, seriously, give me True Ending P5 members) too or AUs? come at me, i'm ripped.
as for scenarios, i'm willing to do stuff with mementos or having him go into palaces although honestly i can work with people making an Attempt to go into ren's palace too since he'd probably have one now, although it's definitely not gonna be Easy. and i can go w/ text posts (i.e. tfln or whatever) but if you're especially stuck? have some prompt ideas below this. (but you don't need to use those if you'd prefer something else) i'm here for you, fam.
♠️ GEN PROMPTS.

maybe that's why he ended up separating the two in his mind, saying that. it was supposed to be Joker that saved her. not Akira.
Akira was just an ordinary person who kept to the shadows and watched, so when she actually thanks him, he can't help but actually react for once. it's been so long since he's been able to have a genuine reaction instead of one that he forces out because he's gotten so bored of the world.
eyes shoot wide open and he just.
stares behind the glasses.
be smooth, Kurusu, he tells himself as he finally speaks up]
It was nothing, really. I'm just glad that you're safe from them.
no subject
Well, maybe you should let me take you out to eat sometime. It might not make us even, but it'll close the gap a little!
no subject
he knows he'll have to deal with them later. as soon as possible once he splits from her.]
Why not make that sometime "right now". . . ?
[finding a restaurant to eat would be very good right now.
and being surrounded by more people would be a hell of a lot safer than their current situation, too. win-win, clearly.]
no subject
[His response gives her pause. Mostly because no one in her life has been that smooth. Perhaps maybe one guy could have been, but he kissed her without consent so all attempts at smoothness have been disqualified.
Her arm slips away from his, but she agrees.]
Sure. I work at a place not too far from here. I can vouch for the food.
[It's almost cafe-style, but you can order actual meals instead of just treats meant to be paired with tea or coffee. The only downside is he'll get to see the just-one-step-away from maid outfit her uniform is, but there are worse things.]
no subject
don't want to make her uncomfortable, after all.
nevertheless, his grin manages to widen just a little, keeping a rather easy, relaxed demeanor - a rather obvious difference from all the seriousness from earlier.]
I'll trust your judgment, Kaname-san. [strangely polite, the way he addresses her. huh.] Lead the way.
[and with a bit of a flourish, he gestures for her to do exactly that.]
no subject
When they reach the restaurant she greets her coworker, and they quickly get seated at a nice private little booth, but Kaname insists on sitting in the spot where she can see the door. Just in case anyone walks in.]
What kind of stuff do you like? Maybe I can make a suggestion.
no subject
he eyes the outfits that they're wearing - they're pretty close to maid outfits, huh? - but opts to not comment on them. if he wants to get on her good side, it's probably for the best not to mention it. . .
he'll allow her to sit on that side at least, but he's being pretty wary himself, in the off chance that those assholes do wind up coming back.]
Anything that can give me a challenge, [it's a half-hearted joke, it seems, before he finally gives her an actual answer] I'm not notoriously picky, actually. I like spicy things, and I've actually taken on quite a bit of food challenges at the Big Bang Burger place.
[he's not joking]
no subject
Holy crap, [she whispers under her breath as she tries to think of something that might actually live up to his daring palate.]
That's impressive.
no subject
You don't really have to suggest me something as massive as that, though. I couldn't really taste the burgers during the challenge anyway, since it was timed.
no subject
[She doesn't mention that she also intends to get herself the fancy parfait to comfort herself after all that just happened.
Normally she'd order way more, but she can't go revealing how much she'd truly want to stuff her face in front of someone new.]
no subject
[he's pretty hungry and he's fairly certain that edamame alone won't fill him up, whoops]
no subject
What do you think about this large parfait? It's too big for one person to eat by themselves, but I don't want to order it if it'd be too weird to share.
[Since they barely know each other and all. However it's actually not too big for Kaname to eat by herself. She's just too embarrassed to be seen eating it all alone. She points to her suggestion on the menu. The one she had intended to eat before is right above it, and is so small it's almost laughable.]
no subject
but if she's going to suggest that, he can't help but hum contemplatively]
I don't mind sharing if you don't.
[he has MAX GUTS after all, it's fine]
no subject
[Chidori puts in their order with the waitress that comes by. The girl gently ribs Kaname for bringing in a cute boy, but she's quick to lay off it after Kaname tells her off. When she leaves Chidori looks at Akira a little more seriously.]
So, I didn't have as much time to look up those Phantom Thieves as I wanted, but I think I'm a little more willing to take the matter seriously. What kind of targets do those Thieves take on?
no subject
Shitty adults, for the most part. Like those guys would probably count for a change of heart.
no subject
[She sighs looking towards the door as she considers her options. She seems a little defeated.]
Then I guess I'll submit them first and see how it goes. At this point I've learned all their names since they're a pretty sloppy bunch.
[The person she has in mind isn't an adult. Hell, he probably would be incredibly difficult to track down because he's an international terrorist. Maybe it's not a job for the Phantom Thieves in the first place.]
no subject
[he says 'they' but it's more or less him. he'll help her out.]
I think if you also write down what they did, it might help their decision. You might want to submit it anonymously, though, just in case they see it.
[since. public forum and all that.]
no subject
Mm, because of you I really want to believe in the—
[Oh. The appetizers are here. Chidori's pan fried dumplings are placed in front of her, and Akira gets the spicy grilled edamame. Following that the nabe dish is placed in the middle of their dining table as it rests on the small portable stove that keep the pot holding the food warm. Tare is also made available to them.
Kaname doesn't even bother finishing her sentence. She's already so entranced by their meal that she wants to focus on it.]
no subject
but then the appetizers are here and he can't help but stare in a bit of dumbfounded silence for a moment.]
This looks all looks. . . [amazing? great? really fucking good] delicious, actually. Do you mind if a take a few pictures before we start? I want to send this to my friends.
no subject
She'll wait patiently for him.]
...Sure. Go ahead.
[A part of her is glad he likes it. Wondering if maybe he'll return if he likes the taste.]
no subject
I found a new place that has some pretty good food. Here's some pics to show you what I mean.
and a photo is sent after that before he says his usual graces of itadakimasu, polite, before grabbing the chopsticks himself and digging right in, looking rather content once he chews and swallows]
It's good. Ten out of ten.
no subject
Despite being so frustrated with how swayed she is by him, Kaname murmurs her own itadakimasu before joining him in eating. When the appetizers are gone and the pot of yosenabe is low the waitress brings out the large parfait. Chidori smirks upon seeing it.]
You're not finished yet, Kurusu. Time to show me what you're made of.
[This isn't actually a challenge, but speaking like it is makes Kaname more comfortable than any kind of small talk. She plucks one of the creme filled Pirouline wafers from the parfait. With the end covered in whipped cream she points it daringly at his face.]
Not going to throw in the towel, are you?
no subject
Of course not. This is just the beginning after all.
[and then he puts the spoon with a rather hearty chuckle as he takes the strawberry from the top of the parfait and immediately eats it before diving back into the whip cream himself]
no subject
When they make it to the bottom with one spoonful left Chidori goes for it. Even if it means both of their spoons collide as they dive in.]
Is this where our budding friendship dies?
[A joke.]
no subject
[and it's a joke he's happy to play along with]
