Huh... There's a mistletoe right above you... T'is the season-- almost. And it looks like you got stuck right under that mistletoe with someone else. And you both can't move until you kiss one another (Of course, not specifying where that kiss needs to happen).

[ He immediately glances away, knowing he'll lose his nerve if he looks her in the eye. ]

Y-Yeah. I've liked you for a while actually... [ This is so embarrassing. ]

For a while... [ And she hadn't noticed at all, too preoccupied with her own feelings that she kept locked inside. ]

Can I ask why you like me?

[swirlied]

[ Now he's really flustered. That was a question he didn't expect, and he stalls for a few moments. How can he even put it into words? He'd never thought he'd actually tell Inaba he liked her in the first place, much less tell her why. ]

Y-You're really smart, responsible, and cool... [ That was what drew him to her at first. Of course there's more, but he doesn't know if he can manage to say it without his heart literally beating out of his chest. ] And, you're really pretty too of course. [ But that doesn't matter as much as the other things. ]

[dereban]

That's not...

[ Her voice trails off slightly as she lifts her heels and then subsequently lowers them. Although Inaba would never act this strange, this fidgety, almost as if someone took over her body and had her decide to do a 180... this is just who she is, really. ]

T-That's not the real me, though. [ Being cool and all that. It's just something she throws up when she's around others, that's all. ]

[swirlied]

[ He gives her a confused look. ]

Huh? What do you mean? [ It didn't seem like she was putting up a front all this time... ]

[dereban]

I mean that, ah... I, I'm really not cool at all. I mean, I present myself as strong but that's not... Haha, sorry, I shouldn't be like this, even though I really like you too.

[ Her voice drops a bit, strained; but there's a sort of finality to her tone, self deprecating as she doesn't meet his gaze. ] I mean, I'm really not like that at all, really... would you still like me, even then?

[swirlied]

[ He finally looks at her, tilting his head a little. ]

You're still you though, aren't you? Of course I would. [ That's easy for him to say, because it's not like she's hiding a big secret or anything. Well, he hopes she isn't.

Besides, she's cute like this. ]

[dereban]

R-Really? Is that so... well, I hope I don't disappoint, because, you know.

[ Her face is definitely the shade of a dark beet red, looking rather awkward about the entire situation. ] But it makes me really happy to hear you say that.

[swirlied]

[ Somehow his face gets even redder. ]

I-I'm really glad.

[dereban]

Ah...

[ She can't help but be embarrassed when his face turns red, causing her cheeks to light up in response, as her gaze shifts away from his, not wanting to meet it. ]

Really? I-I mean, um. What does this mean now...?

[swirlied]

[ What does it mean? Yuuri's never gotten this close to a girl before, much less actually had a girlfriend. The first step is a date, right? That seems like the most logical next step, at least. ]

...W-Will you go out with me? [ Too bad it doesn't come out as smooth and confident as he would like. ]

[dereban]

[ There's a rather lengthy pause as she just stares at him for a moment, blushing hard. Although he stammers, she doesn't comment on it in the slightest; instead the answer he gets is a somewhat embarrassed: ]

O-Only if you kiss me again. [ INABA???? ]

[swirlied]

[ He almost jumps back in surprise. That was definitely unexpected.

But it's not a bad request. He definitely doesn't mind doing it, so he leans in again and presses his lips lightly against hers. ]

[dereban]

[ It might be unexpected, but she likes kissing him and she really, truly doesn't want him to stop. It's a little greedy of her, honestly, but when he kisses her again she decides to up the ante, pressing into the kiss, hands on his shoulders as she deepens it, showing her full intentions. She really wants this pretty badly. ]

[swirlied]

[ This takes him by surprise, his lips parting slightly in a small gasp. ]

[dereban]

[ A somewhat ragged breath catches through her nostrils as she soon moves away from him, her cheeks flushed a bright crimson. She looks at him, really looks at him. It's a little embarrassing, but she doesn't hate it in the slightest bit. ]

Anyway, [ her voice evens out, less embarrassed and a little more stern ] I guess that settles that. We can leave now, if you want. Iori said she'll deal with the stuff for club today, and I can just deal with writing my article at home. So, I was wondering if you wanted to walk home together... or something.

[swirlied]

[ It's a little surprising how quickly she goes back to being cool and composed, but Yuuri doesn't mind it. He nods, smiling. ]

Sure. Your house isn't that far, right?

[dereban]

It's a walk away but it's close enough. What, do you want to come over? Aniki shouldn't be back yet.

[swirlied]

I was just going to walk you to your door, but... I-If you want me to come over I don't mind.

[ He can feel his face going bright red just saying it. ]

[dereban]

Well, you wouldn't be the first guy to come over.

[ She's had sleepovers at her place with the rest of the club, considering that she... kind of has the biggest house out of everyone else here. Like, seriously, it's huge. ]

But if you don't mind, let's go. [ Like she's... going to literally turn on her heel to hide her emotions and just walk. ]

[swirlied]

[ He almost recoils at that first comment, and he wants to ask her about it. But before he can, she's already walking off and he jogs a few steps to keep up with her.

Before long, they're already outside, and Yuuri is trying to come up with something to say so he doesn't feel so nervous about going to her house. ]

Wow, it's already kinda late. [ Smooth. ]

[dereban]

Ah, is it? I still think that it's still kind of early.

[ She usually doesn't leave the school early, after all. As the vice president of her club, she kind of has to get some work done. This is, nevertheless, still kind of awkward. ]

...We're almost there, at least.

[swirlied]

[ Yuuri used to be part of the baseball team until he yelled at a manager, now he's used to going home early. He tries to contain a sigh, hating how awkward it is between them. This is the first time he's actually ever confessed to a girl (much less had those feeling returns), so he feels at a loss for what to even say.

Luckily it isn't long before they end up on a street with a bunch of giant houses. Yuuri can't help but slow down his pace to look at them. ]

Whoa...

[dereban]

You seem rather impressed, Yuuri.

[ Her tone grows slightly curious as she peers at him with wide eyes. ] It's no big deal, it's just my house.

[ Even though her house is pretty high class and even has a small gate. ]

The club sometimes comes over for sleepovers.

[swirlied]

[ He smiles at her. ] I am impressed. All of these houses are a lot bigger than mine. [ But he doesn't sound jealous or mad about that fact—he loves his home. ]

It's so cool you get to have club sleepovers.
