[ When you awaken, you're in what seems to be an abandoned warehouse; it looks like the place hasn't been used for its original intent in ages, though the smell of copper permeates the area. The carcasses of corpses lie around here and there - some dismembered, some completely intact - along with creepy, oversized masks of rabbits.

The warehouse itself isn't that big -- there's two floors, and many doors. However, each door is locked, and the only way through is to find a key.

However, you're not alone. There's a girl who seems to be panicking nervously, fiddling with her skirt anxiously as she sits on her wheelchair, glancing every now and again at you, not all that certain as what to do. At least, that's before you awaken, which is when she gasps in sheer surprise. ]

You're-- you're finally awake.

I ... [ Okay, he doesn't. But he can't see his Mom lying. He's been taught to always be honest and he knows that she would follow the same ideals and mannerisms.

His eyes widen though, when he hears her later words. ]

W-What...?

[dolosa]

I heard all about it. The time you tried to pass yourself off as a girl... That counts, you know. As a lie.

[courageousbonds]

But... But my Mom knows nothing about that! She doesn't deserve this for something I did! If anyone deserves it it's me!

[ He's not even going to fight the lie. It's true that he tried passing himself off as a girl. Even did it a second time and wasn't caught. Fighting them isn't going to do any good, but no matter what he had done his Mom had no part in it. And her safety comes first. ]

[dolosa]

You're brave, I'll give you that. You remind me of Yu-kun -- that guy you saw earlier. Oh, not the one who I made you kill, but the corpse that the first key had. He was determined to get out of here alive... But I couldn't let that happen.

I didn't want to lose a wolf, after all.

[ She's referring to Mitsuki, of course. ]

So you're saying that you'll take any punishment for lying?

[courageousbonds]

[ Ugh. Ash feels nauseous just thinking of those two incidents again. Even more so now that she was urging him to take off that mask knowing full well what would happen... and the fact that she knew who it was that he took the key from in the first room.

And maybe even was the one that...

He does his best to shove those thoughts aside to put on as determined face as he could. ]

Just... Just don't hurt my Mom. Or anyone else I care about.

[ He presses Pikachu just a little closer to him as he says that. Good thing Pikachu isn't awake yet or else he would be having a little mouse objection torn on what to do. He doesn't need that right now. ]

[dolosa]

Unfortunately for you, you're in no spot to make demands. I can't guarantee anybody's safety.

[ She says this in a matter of fact tone, almost as if she's bored. ]

After all, liars don't deserve any last requests from me.

[courageousbonds]

But you're just as much as a liar! At least I wasn't hurting anyone with my lies!

[ His frustration is starting to set in which only leads to him talking before thinking what he's saying. ]

[dolosa]

...

Then why don't you tell me what I've lied about? I'd like to hear it. [ She's bored, but she's also thinking that this is rather amusing. ]

[courageousbonds]

You pretended to be someone you're not! I thought you couldn't walk, but you can actually walk this whole time. And if you're a wolf then you knew this whole time where the keys were and ... and what someone had to do to get 'em.

[ He nearly chokes at the end. All of this is making him feel dizzy. It's a good thing he never stood back up otherwise he would have just fallen back to the ground by this time. But he's barely keeping steady even now. ]

[dolosa]

It's not pretending if you're acting like the person you used to be. I was disabled when the accident happened, so it's not a lie. But yes, I did know where the keys were. In fact, the keys were all absolutely unnecessary to begin with if you had this.

[ She raises her skirt, revealing a barcode on her thigh. ]

It's the equivalent of a 'key'.

[courageousbonds]

Y-You mean I... I...

[ That stops him from retaliation. The thought that he didn't have to do any of the things he did make him so dizzy that he can't even focus on Rei anymore. He puts a hand to his head to try to stop it, but the only thing he seems to be able to do is close his eyes and clench his teeth.

Why. Why does all of this have to happen. Is it really just because of those few moments? Any of those times weren't even really his idea to begin with. ]

[dolosa]

Too bad you didn't think before doing. There were things that could have possibly been avoided, after all...

[courageousbonds]

I...I should have been more careful.

[ The words are small as he's barely able to get them out. But he should have. None of this would have happened if he was more careful and thought things through.

Maybe if he didn't always trust strangers so easily either, but that's likely a lesson he'll never learn. ]

[dolosa]

You should have. Then I wouldn't have a reason to kill you.

[courageousbonds]

Ki...kill me?

[ He's trying to stand up now thanks to those words. ]

Are you?

[dolosa]

I wouldn't. I'm not so sure about her, though.

[ She says this ominously, as if that's the cue for a certain someone to show up again... ]

[courageousbonds]

H-Her?

[ She doesn't mean who he thinks she means, does she? Considering that's the only person he knows about in this warehouse... ]

missed me? will the same order work? (Rei-Ash-Mitsuki)

[bystandering]

[There's footsteps and Mitsuki reappears. This time, with something a little more...forceful...than a tranquilizer gun: a fire axe.]

...is he harassing you?

[dolosa]

Don't worry; he's not bothering me at all, Mitsuki.

[courageousbonds]

[ A shiver goes down his spine when Mitsuki reappears. This... this isn't good. He manages a small step back without nearly falling back down, but otherwise stays silent. Maybe if he doesn't say anything things won't go downhill.

Er... more downhill then they already have. ]

[bystandering]

Good...I wouldn't want anyone bothering you.

[She doesn't move forward but it's obvious she's acting more than a little differently from before.]

[dolosa]

Don't worry, we're just talking right now. If he tries anything, you know what to do.

[ Her voice remains serious before she beams at Ash. ]

If you're willing to take your punishment, put Pikachu and your other friends down and walk towards the door over there.

[courageousbonds]

I...

[ He's hesitant to put Pikachu down. Especially with Mitsuki right there. He doesn't want Pikachu to get hurt anymore than he has, nor does he want his Pokemon to get hurt, either.

But... at least if anything happens his Pokemon can come out and defend themselves. His Mom, on the other hand... ]

.... Okay.

[ Putting Pikachu and his Pokeballs down now, although trying to keep an eye on Mitsuki while doing so. Please please don't harm them. ]

[bystandering]

[She's watching him closely. She has no interest in the Pokemon--they're only obstacles. She doesn't say anything, though. It's not her show to run.]

[dolosa]

[ Rei takes light steps towards the other Pokemon, smiling gently. ]

I wonder what would happen if I woke this little guy up.

[ Provoking Pikachu to wake up? Naaaaah. ]
