[ When you awaken, you're in what seems to be an abandoned warehouse; it looks like the place hasn't been used for its original intent in ages, though the smell of copper permeates the area. The carcasses of corpses lie around here and there - some dismembered, some completely intact - along with creepy, oversized masks of rabbits.

The warehouse itself isn't that big -- there's two floors, and many doors. However, each door is locked, and the only way through is to find a key.

However, you're not alone. There's a girl who seems to be panicking nervously, fiddling with her skirt anxiously as she sits on her wheelchair, glancing every now and again at you, not all that certain as what to do. At least, that's before you awaken, which is when she gasps in sheer surprise. ]

You're-- you're finally awake.

[ Yes, a key and complimentary music! Now hopefully we don't have to ever do something like that again.

Once he has the key Ash closes his eyes and stands up with a small stagger. He takes a moment to compose himself before he turns to give Rei the best smile he can manage. ]

Y-Yeah... I think I'll be okay.

[ He's still shaking from the ordeal, but even so he starts to make his way to the door to open it. Time to get out of this room. ]

[dolosa]

That's... that's good.

[ Rei tries to give a reassuring smile as she wheels herself towards the door. She's ready to leave this place. But of course, it's not going to be easy as the hallway splits two ways in the next area. ]

Sh-- should we split up, or pick one at random?

[courageousbonds]

[ Ash looks down each of the halls. Well, it's probably not a good idea to split up, so the best choice should be to just pick on at random right? ]

Let's... go this way.

[ He points to the left side. What could possibly go wrong. ]

[dolosa]

[ Left it is! ... Which leads to, gasp, a room with more paths. Three, in fact. However, in the room that they are in is actually a chair with a masked man - who is actually wearing a wolf mask - staring at various monitors that seem to show the entirety of the warehouse.

And let's not mention that he's still alive and moving, although he doesn't seem to be saying anything.

As for the hallways, however: the one on the left leads further into crossroads, having two separate directions that lead into a bedroom and a bathroom. The center hallway seems to lead into a locked door with a scanner and a key lock. While the rightmost hallway seems to lead to a rather spacious, but empty area. ]

... This is creepy. [ Along the backside of the room they're currently in, there seems to be various weaponry, specifically axes, chainsaws, knives, and the like. There is even a shelf full of those unsettling rabbit masks from the previous room. ]

[ Well, least they're getting somewhere, right? But Ash wasn't expecting to see anyone else in this warehouse before he sees the guy in the wolf mask. ]

H-Hello?

[ The silence from the guy is just as unsettling as everything else in both the room and on the monitors. Ash swallows and nods his head in response to Rei's words. The weaponry was especially creepy, and the masks were really starting to creep him out. Why are they everywhere?

But he needs to focus; there is still Pikachu and his Pokemon to find. Looking at the three options the left one would be his best choice, right? ]

... Let's hurry and go left again. [ He's looking at the man while he saying that, wondering if the guy is going to move or say anything. ]

[dolosa]

R-- right.

[ But before she starts wheeling herself towards the left side of the room, the man speaks up, in a deep, husky, unrecognizable voice. It's only one sentence, but it's the sentence alone that makes all the difference.

"The liars must die."

Which, in turn causes Rei to freak out and bump into the back wall, hitting all of the rabbit masks which kind of fly out all over the place. ]

[ Ash jumps in response to the sudden voice, a shiver going down his spine. The mix between the deep voice and the words themselves were both startling and creepy.

But before he could say anything about that the shelf was bumped and the masks have gone flying. Which only startles Ash more as he yells and falls back.

He had started to feel better from what he saw and did in the earlier room, but with the sudden movement of the masks and himself he's back to feeling nauseous. And dizzy. ]

[dolosa]

Eek! I'm sorry! I was just-- that guy-- he spoke, right?

[ She's not imagining things, is she? Like, he's not some sort of spooky ghost or something...

(No, he's not, he's just a masked guy. But maybe he's important.) ]

[courageousbonds]

Don't worry 'bout it! [ He gets up again with another stagger before looking at the masked guy. ]

Y-Yeah... I heard him too.

[ So unless they're both imagining it then he definitely spoke. ]

[dolosa]

S... should we check if he's okay?

[ He is definitely alive. But that creepy mask, though. ]

[courageousbonds]

Y.. yeah...

[ Even though the whole thing is unsettling it doesn't feel right just walking away without knowing why this guy was here, or the answer to any questions that they have. So mustering up some more courage Ash walks over to the chair he's in and tries to get his attention. ]

Hey, are you okay?

[dolosa]

He's not saying anything... maybe if we take off his mask...?

[courageousbonds]

Do you think we should...?

[ That mask does look big and kind of heavy. Maybe it will help the guy if they took it off. Ash starts reaching for the mask to take it off. Here goes nothing.... ]

[dolosa]

[ It comes off! But at the same time, you can hear him being clearly in pain and agony before his head falls onto the table.

Thanks for taking off that mask, Ash. You killed the guy. :)

Which may prompt screaming from Rei's end. ]

[courageousbonds]

[ Ash drops the mask the moment he hears the guy in pain, eyes widening.

What... what just happened. Did he just...

no....

no.

He staggers back a few steps before falling to his knees. He holds a hand to his mouth for a moment until he couldn't hold it in much more. He throws up, though it doesn't so anything to help his nausea or dizziness as he stays there trembling. Rei's scream doesn't even make it to his ears. ]

[dolosa]

[ Rei raises her hands up to her ears, trying to block out everything in her sight; just seeing this makes her sick, but she can't find it within herself to do anything but sob, tears running down the sides of her cheeks.

Though as Ash drops the mask, there's a clink! of metal that hits the ground, causing the young teenager to glance up and wipe the tears from her eyes, trying her best to attempt to stay strong for the younger boy as she pushes her wheelchair over behind him. ]

U-- um... I'm really sorry. I shouldn't have-- asked you to do that.

[courageousbonds]

[ For a moment Ash doesn't seem to have heard Rei. He's still shaking, and his vision has blurred from his own tears. But eventually he responds, but his voice is small and nothing like the energetic, confident voice he normally has. ]

We... I... didn't know... what would happen. I'm... ugh...

[ Unable to finish he holds his head for a moment to try to stop the pounding. What now? ]

[dolosa]

I know, but still...

[ She stops herself for a moment as she tries to pull herself together, looking at the wolf mask. Maybe she should just go and say it. ]

A-- also, I heard something coming from that, earlier.

[ Maybe the key's underneath that? ]

Coming from....

[ He looks at where he dropped the wolf mask. He vaguely remembers hearing something metal hit the ground, but his mind is such a blur it's hard to focus on anything.

He takes a minute to try and pull himself together before standing. The first attempt fails, his legs shaking too much. But he tries again and just manages to move to the mask to lift it and check underneath. ]

[dolosa]

[ And there's the second key, congratulations! You've managed to find a way out by killing a guy. ]

Is that... the key?

[ IT WAS THERE THE WHOLE TIME???

what ]

[ Ash stares at the key for a while. So the key... the key was in the mask?

But the mask...

He almost doesn't pick it up, not wanting to admit what this all meant. After a moment though, he does reach and pick up the key. There is still Pikachu and his Pokemon that he has to find. It wasn't even that he has to get out of here, seeing as that's not even an option until the first is accomplished. ]

Y-Yeah... it's the key..

[dolosa]

[ Maybe... she should switch the subject momentarily, just so she can manage to get him to focus. ]

We should... check around the other areas first. T- to see if your friends might be there.

[courageousbonds]

Y-Yeah, good idea. Let's hurry and try to find 'em.

[ He slowly stands again and gives himself just a few seconds to clear his vision before heading to the left again.

He starts using the wall for support when he could, still feeling sick from earlier, but he pushes forward. A bedroom and a bathroom... there's a chance Pikachu and the others could be in either, right? ]

[dolosa]

[ And it looks like they are actually in the bedroom! They're in a cage in the corner of the room, but the key is right on the bed, making it rather simple to get to. Of course, they won't recognize Rei as the perpetrator, seeing as she wasn't actually the one to kidnap them. ]

...Who's that?

[courageousbonds]

Pikachu!

[ The moment they had entered the room Ash had spotted his best friend and his other Pokemon as well. He rushes over to the cage, nearly falling and crashing into it as he kneels down. ]

This... this is Pikachu. The other three are Fletchinder, Hawlucha, and Frogadier.

[ He looks for the key and spots it on the bed and basically stumbles over to grab it. Must let Pokemon out. ]
